Yeah, like that petition is gonna have any effect whatsoever.

I watched last night and thought the decision was a fair one. Although it would have been equally OK if the Korean had won. Sotnikova was going all out while Kim sort of looked like she was phoning it in.

I actually preferred the bronze Italian Kostner's performance the best, but she wasn't as good as the other two.

A short while ago Johnny Weir (wearing another outrageous outfit) and Tara Lipinski were chatting with Bob Costas, giving their opinions on why the Russian deserved to win. Made perfectly good sense to me.

On a good note...another fantastic hockey game between US & Canada!

They must be the only former skaters that thought the women's result the right one. I haven't heard any interviews that said they understood how that happened.

And it does lend some credence to the l'Equippe story from before the start of the Games that their was a deal for the US to won ice dance and the Russians would ice the women's final.

So three US skaters think it was right but retired skaters from other countries didn't understand how it could have ended up that way. It also seems the Koreans have filled a protest asking for a judging review.

I'm not saying Yuna Kim should've won (I get the explanation of how Sotnikova won), I'm saying the entire scoring system needs to be looked at (as well as the anonymity of judges scoring).

0-5 now, they should be ashamed of themselves. Wonder if any of the high contract players will be ashamed enough to pay the Olympic Committee back for their travel expenses.

The argument that the judges chose right within a certain system does nothing to mitigate the argument that the system itself is flawed and unjust. And if someone doesn't see a major problem with allowing two judges involved in a place fixing scandal to ever sniff the judges area again, when will they see a major problem? Would major league baseball ever allow anyone that fixed a game back in? Ask Shoeless Joe Jackson. After 95 years they still won't even let him in the HOF.

I read somewhere earlier that the course was set by an official notorious for designing exceptionally challenging runs. That and the generally warm weather and slushy snow lead to multiple wipeouts.

One bad game and you think they should be ashamed of themselves? Way to support your team. The toughest game to play in the bronze medal game, especially 1 day after a pretty tough loss in the semi-finals. Congrats to Finland on managing to regroup after the loss and get the win.
