Official 2014 MNSSHP Guest List (and discussion) Thread

I'll be going with my husband and two friends on 9/29. We have some ideas for costumes, but no final plans yet ;)

9/29 is not a party date. Please tell me the correct date so I can add you to the list. :goodvibes

October 16-21st

I'm going as a bumble bee and the hubby as a bee keeper!

Just want to make sure you are going to two parties. Is that correct?

congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! :)

Fist time MNSSHP!!

Date - October 19th
Attending - 3 (1 adult, 2 teens)
Costumes - DDs (twins) going as Mickey and Minnie
ADR - N/A

Will you be dressing up?

My costume this year for MNSSHP is Sally from Nightmare. I have the costume which includes a wig, but my hair is pretty close to Sally's albeit a wee bit short. Thinking the wig will be hot and sweaty in Sept in Orlando. Any suggestions on where to get my hair dyed cherry red, or even the best way to do it myself. The most I've dyed my hair was to use SunIn when I was a teenager. Naturally I want this to be temp and either wash out or fade fairly quickly. (I can deal with red hair for a week or two). Don't think the spray stuff will get all my hair red and I'm also not wanting something that will come off as I sweat (oooo a young lady is never suppose to talk about sweating!). Don't want to end up looking like a red Sally.

Thanks!

Caroline

I would love to add you to the list. Please let me know what date you will be attending, and any other info you have for your traveling party. :goodvibes

This list is current! :goodvibes

My DD and I plan to be at MK during the day before out MNSSHP night. What should we do with our costumes? I'm afraid if I stuff them in the locker they will get all wrinkled before the party.

Any suggestions??

Are the bags disney gives you big enough? I know they sell bigger ones, but looking at disneystore.com I can get reusable totes for $3, I'm sure way cheaper than what the larger bags are sold for at the party.

I have the same problem, we are going around 3ish and I won't get dressed until after dinner. I'm going as Elsa. I was thinking of a large reusable bag, since we will have a stroller. I've been pondering that question too :-/

I just found this thread. We will attend the party on 10-19. Me, DH, DD12, DS9 , Dsis, niece 10, niece 3. Niece age 3 is going to BBB prior to the party and will be Ariel. The rest of us, costumes unknown at this time!

Dinner plan will likely be early dinner Wolfgang Puck QS at DTD while my niece gets her BBB makeover.

Staying at our home DVC resort OKW.

Sept 1st Party: change to my DS costume: not Captain Hook, will be Peter Pan

We'll be attending on September 9th!
There's just two of us going, me and a friend.
It's actually our first trip to WDW so we're going to be very overwhelmed I'm sure!

Does anyone have any advice?!
Is it best to go for dinner between 4-7pm, or is that using up valuable ride/shopping/exploring time? Because I understand rides will have much shorter queues from 4pm onwards due to the ordinary guests being filtered out?

Will be attending my first MNSSHP this year! :woohoo:

10/28
Two adults
I have a red and white polka dot dress, white Keds with yellow laces, yellow bag, and my sparkly Minnie Mouse ears. Not sure if my friend will be in costume yet.
No ADRs as of yet.

Ordered shirts today from Zazzle for the party! Would rather be going in costumes but shirts are better than nothing at all, which was the original plan since nobody else was on board with dressing up this year but me :sad2: Of course nobody wanted the same one, so mine is HM themed, DS8's is Stitch as a pirate, and DH & DS12 got shirts that say "Boo to You" :)

Hey guys!

We have two parties to go to! :goodvibes We've got two adults, and I've chosen my costumes, but my awesome friend doesn't know which day she wants to do which costume. She's got Pocahontas and Mulan, though! Yay Princess Party!! princess:

10/28 - 2 adults - I'm going as Merida - We're having dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern around 6pm

10/31 - 2 adults - I'm going as Belle (In Blue) - Dinner at Be Our Guest (Yeah - I'm Belle at Be Our Guest! - A dream WILL be coming true this Halloween! :cool1: ) around 5:30pm

Extended my stay so decided to go for MNSSHP!!! Can't wait!

Just me on my own going as Indiana Jones (minus the leather jacket in that heat!) on the 14th Sept.

So excited!!

I'm looking very forward to seeing this year's Halloween merchandise, as we'll probably go to the party in whatever new style t-shirts they have this year.

Out of everyone here I'm the only one going to the 10/10 party still? LOL, maybe I'll get lucky this year and it won't be so crowded. (Doubt it, but a girl can dream.)

OK, so our plans are firming up. Dates and traveling party are correct, we're just solid on our costume choices now. On 10/5-- my DW and I are going as Wreck It Ralph and Vanellope. In-law's costumes still to be decided but they will be dressing up. On 10/9-- DW and I are going as Anna and Kristoff. We managed to snag FP+ for Anna/Elsa during the pre-party 4-7 pm window, so I'm pretty excited about the pictures we're going to get...:-)
