Official 2013 Disney Princess Half Marathon Thread - Take 2

ToT shirts were big because they were unisex...they didn't have a women's option for that race. I'm going to try again tomorrow and see if they get any of the one I want. I was also told that about an hour before it closes tomorrow they will open up the exchanges to ALL the stock they have left in the shirts, not just what had been exchanged at the shirt exchange table. Unfortunately I'll be at dinner though at that time.

I could've sworn when I signed up it had a whole list of sizes that specified genders but then the shirt ended up being unisex....

Hopefully I can switch tomorrow if need be!

Anyone happen to have an answer for my question about the mickey mile tomorrow....do you think I can get in there after the 4:30-5:30 window?? I'm about to priceline a hotel for late check in right now and drive there, if not.....

Yeah that seems a bit silly. I am actually wondering how well they thought this true before sending out the emails.

The only reason I am even bringing it up is the half pick up on race morning is from 3:00-3:45. Which doesn't make any sense to me. I mean first off the first busses don't leave until 3:00 so that means at the earliest anyone will be there is 3:10 maybe 3:15. And so really its open for 30 minutes. Buses are running until at least 4:00 and with the traffic runners could be arriving as late as 4:30. So it would make more sense to run it to 4:30 but that's just me.

Can't sleep! Just read about 10 pages! i made it to CBR by about 1. Did okay with the crowds at the expo...glad I wasn't after anything in particular...

I got my bib but didn't go over any mat for the b-tag..... Not sure how I would have missed it if it was there..... I didn't even realize I hadn't done so until I was on the bus leaving the expo. I asked some others on the bus and they didn't go over a mat either.... They made such a to-do about it at the Tink, I can't believe I would have missed it if it was there... Anyone else?

It's 3am but I made it to MCO with a few other delayed princesses. I may be super tired all weekend but I can't wait to join in the fun tomorrow! Hope to run into people at tomorrow's expo!

For those Princesses that are staying at CSR, do you think having the expo there made it crazier? Does the resort seem busier because the expo is there? I'm doing some research for next year!

I wasn't made aware of anything like this either...what is that for, to make sure the tag works or what? I've never ran in a race that used a timing chip of any kind.

After 9 long hours on the road yesterday, 2 of which were spent in downpours, I finally got to CSR around 2:30. Thanks to the person/people who gave the tip about parking at the mini golf and walking down because it worked perfectly There was a woman stopping all traffic into the parking lot and asking what they were there for, but I just asked "Is the mini golf place back here?" and she let me right on through. Hey, I didn't tell a lie, I just asked a question haha! Spent about 1.5 hrs at the expo, picked up a couple of things. Trying to debate if I want to go back today and brave the crowds in order to be able to shop without having to chase after a 4yo!

Hope all of you sick princesses start to feel better, but do me a favor and stay away from me But no really, I feel for you; getting sick right about now-ish has been one of my worst fears. Please take it easy today!

This time tomorrow I should be almost half way through the course...woo hoo !DH and I are headed to Hollywood studios for just a bit and then back to CR early afternoon for rest since we will be up early tomorrow morning for something...sure it will come to mind....

They are always active, the mats are just a check to make sure they work. Apparently they forgot to put it out!

That would be inaccurate considering they had the mats out at Tinkerbell. Maybe they've just done away with it at WDW races.
