I haven't thought about ADRs at all yet, other than making one for V&A on Sunday after the race. I need to get on that.

now I wonder if it isn't too late rather than too early. I had not considered what time I want to be to bed. (will I be able to sleep?) I was just worried about eating close enough, but not too far from race time (even though, yes I will eat a light breakfast in the am)
I saw that on the V&A thread! So awesome! We love it there and got to do the main dining room when we were there last month.

Yay - very glad to hear this!I had a nice, restful day of quiet, and I'm starting to feel better.
We're making dinner in our DVC villa so that we can each have exactly what we know works for us. I plan to be in bed at 7, so dinner will probably be around 5:30-6. I'm also planning to be up ridiculously early on Sat., so I'll definitely be ready for sleep early, too.Hey, quick question... what time are you all planning dinner the night before the race? Is 6:30 too early?
Awesome, you're on your way!I'm still not cleared to run, but I did a mile on the treadmill yesterday and there was no heel pain or bunion pain!

We did chef's table on our disneymoon! It was so cool!! Once in a lifetime, amazing. This was early June 2009 and we got to ride in the front car of the monorail afterwards heading home to the Poly! You definitely gotta do it one day![]()
I'm completely entertained by the talk of cold weather running here and on FB! Seriously - I can't fathom running in temps below 30, though I certainly did growing up in WNY. I've been in FL 20 years, though; the blood thins. My poor toes took almost a mile to warm to the point I could actually feel them last night... it was 72*.Admittedly, I have Raynaud's disease, which causes extreme cold in extremities even when temps aren't particularly cold. I have a pair of fake Uggs that I never wear and were dirt-cheap... think I'll wear them pre-race until the last possible minute to keep my feet warm and then ditch 'em.
I'll be adding a cheap pair of fuggs or warm slippers to add to my shopping list. I'm not too worried about the running part, but I am worried about standing around in the cold pre-race.![]()

^^ This, exactly! I was surprised by how cold I got waiting for the W&D 5K to start and how much colder I became - and quickly - immediately after finishing. And I was at WDW the morning of the infamous 2010 WDW Half - when we had actual SLEET! It looked like total carnage as we made our way to the MK and saw so many finishers shivering uncontrollably and looking half-dead. That morning scarred me for life, lol! I've been hoarding throw-away garments since Feb., when I decided to do the 2013 Princess.![]()

I am planning on skipping the throw away clothes since I am doing the race retreat. I wonder if I should bring an old hoodie anyway.......
And yes, I think the discarded clothes are donated. For the Wine and Dine I also brought an old towel to sit on while waiting in the corral.

... I signed up for RR, too. But I know I won't be in a front corral, so I'm still bringing a bunch of stuff as throw-aways. I'm the total opposite of most runners: I'd rather err on being too warm and dumping a layer than being cold!I am planning on skipping the throw away clothes since I am doing the race retreat. Absolutely they do! Quite a few of us even did the throw-away thing at the W&D 5K. I figure my stuff would've found its way to Goodwill anyway, so may as well get one more use out of it and let Disney handle the giving!I was hoping that people did the toss away clothes at the starting line. I'm in Canada and all our fall/winter races we do that but wasn't sure it would be acceptable to toss an ugly hoody to the side of the road in Florida.
Do they collect the clothes for charity down there like they do here?
My running coach says last big meal should be 12 hours before the race if it's a morning race. Of course, still eat your regular pre morning run breakfast.
