Did my last "long" run yesterday - 6 miles. It was great! I usually run in the afternoon or evening. Yesterday was a packed day, so I got out in the morning after eating a good bfast. Wow - this bodes well for race day! I felt rested and fueled. If I can manage that again on race day, I'm good to go!
Getting nervous about the skirt - my niece, who lives 45 min. away, made it for me and it is now "in the mail". I leave Fri. morn and there is no mail today, so this is cutting it a little too close for me! Can't wait to see it, though - Tinkerbell green. Also, took the suggestion of someone else on here and found knee socks at Target on clearance for .50 - going to cut the foot out and use them as "sleeves" so that if I get hot, I can pitch them and not worry about it. And they happen to be super cute and will match the skirt! Never could get the darn wings to iron on my shirt, so I think I will be wearing my pink running tee that says "run like a mother" on it - stop and say hi if you see me! (At this point, I think we need to carry around a list matching what people are wearing to their names!)
I absolutely can't wait. First time in 11 years that I will be there not only without kids, but without being pregnant!!!
Guilt-induced question - what are some good, not over the top exp. souveniers to bring back for the kiddies? I am getting my 2 y.o. the Mr. Potato Head Disney parts. The 7 & 9 y.o. are a bit harder to impress! Last time we went, they made their own light sabers, so I won't get that for them.
I'm going to do the pressed pennies and, if I can, another idea that I read about - I'm going to get post cards with their fave characters on them, try to get those characters to sign them, and put them in the mail for a nice surprise even after I get home!
