Official 2011 Princess Half Thread Part II!!!

Oh, oh, where did you snag a deal for the rental car? I'm still trying to find one thats not $80 a day... That's highway robbery :rotfl2:

National - and use contract code NCRLESS. I've been stalking mousesavers and checking codes for weeks. I about fell on the floor when a great rate finally popped up. I have it at $143 for thurs -monday. I'd like it lower still but that's much better than the $220 I originally had.

I got a great rate with Dollar. I had to rent 2 cars, one for my, one for hubby since he is cave diving for the first part of our trip. So his car rental is Sunday-Friday and I paid $149 (prepaid) and my car rental is Sunday - the following Tuesday $221 (prepaid). I think I got great deals. As soon as I saw it I grabbed it.

Hope you also find a good deal!

I love this board!! You gals are the absolute BEST! Made a reservation for $26 per day  I can't thank you and Shelby enough for making this trip affordable for me. Being a working student is hard, but being a working student with lofty goals of a destination race is even harder ;).

Now I just have to get down there. Fortunately (or unfortunately) Mom and I will be flying standby (Dad is a pilot, so the deal is pretty sweet), so I'll be on pins and needles until we actually board the plane for Orlando. But I think I'll worry about that when the time comes; for now, I think I'll hit the dreadmill.

Got in 6 miles this week! Woo Hoo!!

My intervals were steady and consistent, and it was all on the "dreadmill" as you call it! And my pace was under the SWEEPER pace!:goodvibes

Now to concur 7 this weekend. It would be great to be able to get outside, but it isn't looking good.

I am super excited to go this with friends too. I will miss my kids and hubby too, but it will be a nice break.;)

HELP! What am I doing wrong?:confused3 I entered the code and got the same price that was listed without the code.

I have been trying to get a good deal on a rental car so we don't have to use a taxi for the expo and race day.

I just tested it again and was still able to get the rate. Make sure you are putting the code in the field that says "contract ID".

What location are you using?

Just figured out my problem. We are staying until Tues. When I entered the return date as Mon. the code worked.

I wonder if codes will come out for March soon...

I'm all signed up and have my hotel/airfare all squared away! I'm so excited! Also, my sparkle skirt came in the mail today!!!! It's so pretty -- I got it in kelly green, and I'm planning on pairing it with a light purple tech tee and hopefully it will look a little bit like Ariel! I'm in central Maine right now, so that means a lot of treadmill workouts due to the extreme cold, boo. I'm hoping to get at least an 8 mile run in this weekend outside, so I guess I'll just have to wait and see how bad the snow and wind are. For the last two weeks, I have been super motivated from reading everyone's comments, so thank you. Good luck training, princesses! Keep on with the hard work! :yay:

MCO and yes I'm renting thurs til monday. :)

I rented my car from enterprise with a 15 percent off code. Got the car Friday through Thursday for $169! WOO HOO! Granted, I just got the economy car, but it was still a great deal with the option to upgrade free to the next size up.

The code I had was ESNR9EP. I went through the car savers rental website - google it, it should pop up.

I'm so excited about this trip! I think I have decided to buy one of the kids princess dress inspired skirts from the Emporium. I am going to get Snow White and then pair it with a blue tech shirt, red arm warmers and a red bow in my hair.

I think my daughter will get the Tiana one - or Rapunzel if they have it. I don't know what I am more excited about - the run or going on a mommy daughter trip!

Have the flu....puts a kink in my training plans.:sick::sick:

total bummer. make sure you get lots of rest and as much fluids in as you can. don't push it! and FEEL BETTER!!!

******

so remember i said i slacked the other day and didn't run? well i went out and did 4 miles yesterday and now i feel much better about myself. sometimes you just need a veg break. my problem yesterday is that i totally overdressed. i had way too many layers on and it was 32 degrees which nowadays is like totally warm for us! also, i ate an awesome turkey and swiss on a round roll sandwich from the deli followed by a pack of oreos and THEN i ran. duh. barf.

ok guys what do you think? since i'm going solo and can do whatever i want, i thought about doing the keys to the kingdom tour on saturday. has anyone ever done it? it says it's 4.5 hours long. i at first was thinking that i would sleep in on saturday but, who am i kidding? i haven't slept past 6am since my son was born - am i really going to be able to when i know that i'm at DISNEY WORLD??

Does anyone know if you can register for the Disneyland half at the Princess Expo??
Thanks!
-M

I don't think you can. I wanted to register for this race at the Wine and Dine expo, but there was nowhere to do it. If they did have anything, my guess would be that there would be a couple computers where you could access the active registration... I could be wrong though, so you should check with the rundisney booth when you are there!

It turned out that they had the option at Marathon weekend, so it may be possible that the Princess Expo will have the same option. Either way, you will be there anyways so if they do, great, if not then it isn't selling out anytime soon! :)

Do they run true to size? I little small? big? I can't decide if I should get a S or M. I wear a 4 typically. thoughts?

ETA: which skirt did you ladies buy? The Tech running skirt or the regular SparkleSkirt?

You should definitely get the small...or smaller. I am a 10 and fit in the medium.

And thanks for the well wishes, db!

I wanted to do a tour so I picked the Segway around the World at Epcot. I'm doing it on Tues. before I leave. I thought about doing the Keys to the Kingdom tour, but I read that it was a lot of walking. I want to take it easy before the race.

My plan is to tour the parks each day, but to take it easy and not go commando.

Did that one and loved it! Did the one before the park opened...lots of room to tool around!
