Hello! I haven't posted in quite a while. I have been busy with kids and just life! Anyways, about 3 weeks ago I started having knee pain. It's a sharp pain just under my knee cap. It came out of nowhere when I was in my Saturday long run (12 miles). I've never had any kind of knee pain before. I bought a Patellar Tendon Strap hoping that would help but it hasn't . I'm a little nervous that the pain isn't going to go away and that I won't be Abel to do the princess half. Has anyone else had this pain? If so, what did you do for it? One personal the running store told me to run through the pain but I don't think that's a good idea!!Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks!!
I am having the same issue, as well as pain in the side of my knee (ACL replacement on this knee a couple of years ago). My Orthopod said it's either Patellar Tendonitis or a Torn Meniscus. The sharp pain in the front of the knee obviously attributing to the Patellar Tendonitis and the side pain possibly being the Mensical tear. Obviously for tendonitis, just rest, ice and take some Aleve or an anti-inflammatory. But, common sense says to have a specialist take a look. Better off now than aggravating it down the road.
