OMG I'm laughing so hard I just woke my kids up!
That is EXACTLY what I was thinking, but your words are so much better!

Those girls were awesome....and Im so glad their interveiwers didnt ask any questions about low scores on late night...now they have beach volleyball on USA vs Cuba with Youngs/Branagh...good thing Im off tomorrow its after 2 am here.
Awww, Nastia's dad is soooo proud.
I'm off tomorrow too. I need to work on a quilt, maybe I'll stay up and watch the match since it's only midnight here.
yes...us dads are very proud of our DD....mine Graduated in the top 10 of her class
Oh whitewater final, cool....backstroke final coming up too.....anyone know how a backstroker keeps straight in the water and doesn't end up on the lines or ram their head into the wall? Was a topic of great debate last night.
DH was working in bed so I had volume super-low. Did they change Nastia's beam score? I'm confused. I saw the judges talking but I thought it was about someone who was not in the top 6.
I thought Shawn's beam score was WAY too low comparatively. But that's what happens when you go first.
I was also annoyed that NBC started to give us what they needed to be in first, but stopped showing final scores on the floor exercise. We never saw the floor score for the taller Chinese girl or Nastia or Shawn.
And because I was listening with barely any sound, I knew Nastia had won, but didn't know where Shawn finished. Maybe this was all because it was live, but NBC dropped the ball.
And live gymnastics is boring--all the warm-ups and stuff. Ugh.
I guess that's what happens when you have to watch without sound....
I didn't think they'd change a score. But did they really need "the boss" to tell them to judge fairly (and faster!)?
I still think because it was live that NBC didn't do their best work.
Track is on now. 100 prelims I think.
