Almost always, we know before the official announcement is made. Shortly after we read about it here on the disboards, we eventually will get an email from Disney Visa telling us about it. Last year a few "connected" people (generally TA) started getting the word out. While the dates were unconfirmed, they did end up being exactly right. So the rumors should start flying around within the next couple of weeks. I will sit back and read, but unfortunately won't be joining like last year my dates are mid-August and my dates were not included in the promotion. Pretty much the same dates again this year for us (Aug. 10) so unless there is a ton of pixie dust, I'll be sitting this one out again.

We have been fortunate to have free dining the past two Septembers. I am hoping to have some pixie dust for free dining for this year. Pending on the announcment of free dining will let me know which hotel we are going to stay at. I would like All Star Movies but DH wants a moderate hotel. I feel we arent in the room except to sleep so why pay the extra $. Plus dd is 4 and I think she will enjoy movies better than a moderate.

It's not necessarily about sleeping in the room. It's about the atmosphere, the pools, the food, the grounds, the transportation, the location, etc.

If you're getting the free dining, of course it's cheaper to stay in a value. However, if you don't, perhaps using a discount and staying at a Mod is the way to go. CSR is only $350 more than a value for a week - for us.

The biggest difference for me between a moderate and a value is the swimming pool slide. Since your DD is so young, I would probably stick with a value and save some money.

Wow, I could buy alot of margaritas for that amount of money, and probably lots of TS breakfasts to go along with the free ddp. Or even a couple of collectible figurines. It's great that Disney offers such a wide choice of accommodations so that everyone can choose what is important to them.:drinking1

Last year everyone knew about it by 3/16/2007

I don't know if I should start worrying or keep my fingers crossed even tighter :confused3 Last year the 16th was on Friday, therefore today was the day they knew last year. Maybe next week we will hear something

I am starting to get too excited to sleep. Dreams of character meals floating in my head. :cheer2:

I am going in Sept. How does this work? I already booked, do I have to cancel when/if it's announced or is it automatic. I booked through WDW.:yay:

We booked the bounceback while at POFQ last month. Honestly the rate doesn't seem that great, especially for September. Anyhow seems to me when we went last Sept. we had the free dining using the DisVisa. My question is if Disney announces a similar plan can I alter our current reservation? Also if A.P. rates for Sept. are less can I change my bounceback into an A.P. res?
TIA...you'd think after the number of times I've visited WDW I'd get the hang of this, but I still feel overwhelmed;-/

I was thinking the same thing. I have been searching so hopefully soon we will find something out.:goodvibes

Can someone please PM with the dates that the bounce back promo was being offered for?

:) I was reading somewhere and I can't remember where right now! That the upgarde to free water parks& more Hopper ends on the 21st! So maybe just maybe Disney is waiting for that Promo to be officially done before they announce a new one! Still keeping the faith in Disney and also hoping for my dates and possible more dates available in august that would be a real treat to lots of us here! :)
