Cooking or heating, either way there are Microwaves and toasters in the food courts for all to use. And the clean up issue is solved.

I know you are planning on staying at Pop with 2 rooms, but have you looked into the family suites at the All Stars? They are 2 connecting rooms, one has a kitchenette in it. I believe that the nightly rate for them is lower than the 2 separate rooms. I am not 100% positive as to the sleeping arrangements in the kitchenette room, but it might be something to look into.

I booked today for 9/19-9/27 and asked CM about free dining. She said she hasn't heard anything, but if they do release I can call and get the free promo added on to my ressie. I am still hoping

I have my trip booked 9/17-9/28. I'm just hoping that it is going to as simple as making a phone call and getting the promo added to the reservation. My fear is I am not going to be able to get the free dining at the resort that I am now booked at. I don't mind changing resorts so I can get the free dining.

Is there anyone that has had there trip booked and been successful in adding the free dining promo when it was released?

This time I will call in the morning. I want to be at Pop, I like the food court and busses better there. But if I have to change, it won't ruin my vacation.

We are booked at POP in a preferred room.

I will be calling my AAA TA the day b4 to give her the heads up on the free dining. I also will be calling the morning it is released.

I feel the same way as you if I do have to switch resorts. Anything to save $$

Don't beat yourself up over waiting till the evening to call last year. I too was booked at Pop and called first thing in the morning and got through right away without a wait. There were no regular or prefered rooms available at Pop for my dates. I cancelled Pop and booked ASMu to get the free dining because free dining was worth it no matter where I stayed. I waited and about two weeks later I read on the Dis that free dining opened up for my dates at Pop and I again switched it back to Pop. Those travel CM's worked overtime for me last year and this year I will leave them alone since I booked bounce back last year for this year. My fingers are crossed for everyone here though since I was in your place last year at this time.

Just an FYI...I didn't even KNOW about free dining last year until June ..I know..gasp! I booked it the June 8th with no problem.

My family and I went our first time on Feb 9-15 por.
We rebooked w/the 30% offer for september.
I called to extend our new trip by a day and asked if free dining occurs would I need to rebook and he told me they would just add it on and make cost adjustments. I assume he means - dining and + the previous discount back on.

If you get free dining you can't use the 30% code. I would figure out which will be cheaper for you and utilize that promotion.

i went last year for during free dining, and the wife and I are considering going again, for a shorter trip (last years was 11 days). I for the life of me cant remember when disney finally announced the free dining plan? Was it early April?

APRIL 9, 2007

Disney has announced the popular "Stay, Play & Dine" package for guests vacationing from August 26 through September 22, 2007. Purchase a minimum 3-night stay at an official Walt Disney World resort, plus at least a One-Day Magic Your Way Base ticket, and you get the dining option free, for the length of your stay. This special opens up to Disney Visa Card Holders on April 9 and to the general public on April 12. Reservations must be booked by June 24, 2007.

It was rumored in late March of 2007 and booking began in early April for Disney Visa holders first then it was made public 2-3 days after that.
