Offical Code Watch For March 2007/april 2007 Easter

trying to decide if we want to go during our Spring break this year. March 10 - 17, i think!

Is it usually crowded? Do a lot of schools have spring break that early?

I wouldn't think the crowds would be too bad at that time. I'm sure there will be some spring break vacationers that week, but I think the majority of schools have spring break towards the end of March or the week before or after Easter in April.

Our Spring Break is always the first week in March and we've been there 6 times over the last 9 years. I'd call the crowds the first week 'Moderate'. Get to your park du jour early, use FP and you'll get your money's worth. I'm signing up with Tour Guide Mike, as a co-worker who used him printed out a schedule for this year's trip and it really seemed to help. As for your week, it always seemed to us that as 'our' week went on, the crowds got a little bigger from Wed. on to our departure. I don't know if it's just that those days are busier anyway or if March gets more hectic the later it gets, I suspect the later the more crowded.

YEAH!
Just booked room only ressie at Port Orleans Riverside (3 nights) and 2 nights at CSR.
Got AAA discount for now...March 5th to the 10th..
Hoping for maybe the free hopping and water parks we got in March of this year...
Now to start with Dining reservations... How does BOMA's for breakfast sound? Maybe the KONA Cafe? :thumbsup2

March 4-10 here. Hoping for the ticket upgrade also, had it in March of this year. 06 stayed at POFQ, not impressed, staying at WL March 07. Waiting for a code. I know we did not get it until about the 10th of Nov last year. :dance3:

Did I miss the March code??? :confused3 I'm looking for a code for POR room only from March 8 to March 11...Thanks.

I'm looking for ideas/suggestions. 2 years ago I was lucky enough to be able to book CR AP rate for spring break, but didn't have my pass yet. When I got to WDW, I parked at CR, and walked over to MK to buy my pass. The pass actually saved me enough on my room to pay for the pass.

Didn't renew my pass as I knew it would be over a year until I could get down there again. Now I'm looking to go for Spring Break again. What's going to be my best bet for ANY discount? (DD wants to stay at the Poly)

Just wondering what you were'nt impressed with?
We have to stay at Port Orleans the first 3 nights because we are a party of 5. Stayed at POR a few years back. But we were at the parks so much and had our own car, we really didn't get to see much of the resort.( Only stayed 2 nights) We didn't use the pool either.. too cold.( JANUARY trip) We are excited to try the pool at POFQ this year too. Would love some feedback on your last trip and what you didn't like.
Thanks

Not sure why previous poster didn't like POFQ but we  POR! We bought into the DVC while staying at POR...and we all commented on how we'd miss this resort the most! (I know you can use points but it takes more than to stay at a DVC resort). For our trip in March 2007 we do have 3 night ressies at POR befoer heading to BWV and we are all looking forward to that!

Thanks... Glad to hear you loved it. I like to hear other peoples opinions of the resorts. Have you done the carriage rides or rented the boats?
How was it? We want to do some RESORT stuff this trip before we head over to CSR>

We rented the boats and that was fun..We rented the surreys for trips around the park and the family loved fishing on Ole Man Island...We missed the marshmallow roast (wrong night). The main pool was very nice and we were fortunate enough to have a quiet pool right outside our "mansion" door. We  this as no one ever used it but us..You could see the main pool from the front of the mansion so most people went there...There is a great nightclub at POR with a very talented piano player...his name skips my mind right now but he was awesome..(more like a comedy show). The food court was great. We recommend the ribs dinner...Very yummy!

Like I stated earlier, we are really looking forward to those 3 nights in March!

Subscribing- we just booked 5 nights at the Poly at an exhorbitant rate (and a AAA rate at that)....looking for any other way to save a few bucks! :thumbsup2

I'm hoping for an AP rate for our 4 nights at PC before our BCV stay. Here's crossing my fingers for luck :thumbsup2 !

Hello Everyone ;)

I have been looking at all kinds of area hotels and the price for the space is sooo inviting. Since I have never been to DW, please explain to me why I need to stay at a DR!! :confused3

First trip with family - April 26th - May 2nd! Counting down :hourglass in Oklahoma!!

I guess it is just a matter of preference. If you are staying offsite, please, please, find reviews in the Orlando thread. Sometimes a hotel can look really good on the internet and when you get there a huge disapointment. I've seen some DIS members rave about some hotels off property that can be compared to the Deluxes at WDW. So I would start reading the resorts board and the Orlando board.

If space is what you are after, offsite may be for you. But for us, its onsite all the way. Part of what my family loves is the being submerged in the Disney experience from start to finish. No outside grocery stops, no outside dining, no driving. It's 100% Disney or nothing for us. We love the buses, we love the resorts, the restaurants, the themes and decorating make it like an escape from reality for us. Then again, some say we are easily impressed. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Its really about what is important to YOUR family. Maybe all the Disney details are no big deal to you or maybe just being on vacation and being together is the key. You have to decide what will MAKE this vacation great. Then, make the decision for YOUR family.

For us, we love all of the little details and it wouldn't be a Disney vacation without them. HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! :cool1:
