Thanks! That was so helpful, and I shouldn't have questions...but I still do!! It mentions that they plan to use DDP, but already have the room booked at a AAA rate...I thought that you had to book your room through a package to get DDP? Anybody know? I feel like I'm missing something somewhre! Thanks!

Sorry, I wasn't clear! I do have a package booked, but I booked it through AAA, so I still got the room portion of my package at the AAA rate. We have 8 nights regular season (4/27-5/5), POP preferred rooms, 2 adults, 2 kids, MYW + hoppers, and DDP for $2651.96. THe quote through WDW website was about $2802....so I saved $150 Hope that helps, if you need more info, just ask!!

Just to re-iterate what is said above. We have 7 nights at POR in March. Booked the DDP & MYW w/ Park Hoppers. Booked through AAA (actually talked to a AAA disney specialist Travel Agent here in Austin)which was $210 less than through Disney direct or through a different non-AAA travel agent.

Looking for the "MARCH CODE" in the hopes of getting the Park Hopper component refunded.

Count me in! I am new to the boards and I am planning on going May 1st-7th 2007. Hopefully I can get some codes for then. I'm not AAA but I do have a Disney Visa, how can I find out about the codes? If not AAA, where can you get the best deals booking?

I haven't had a chance to read through the entire thread. I'm trying to find out what's out there for 4/12-4/15. It's our wedding anniversary and I'd like to try and plan a surprise trip for DH. Not sure if it's possible.

You'll need a huge amount of pixie dust to get a code for a trip that close to Easter weekend. Normally it's blacked out the week before and week after. Good Luck, but prepare for no code.

I think we have an excellent chance at a code, being as how I've usually gotten one during the very same period in the past, and now there's a code out for the days leading directly up to christmas:

I'm looking for Easter week. Even though New England's April vacation is the week after. I panicked during the Southwest opening up to may and took the tenth. Now I have to find a place to stay. I figure I'll book thru AAA and wait for breaks-like these codes.

I just going by history and last year there was a black out of AP codes for the week before and week after Easter. We wanted to arrived the Saturday after Easter and had to wait until Sunday because of the black out. Since there were no AP codes, that meant no FL codes or GP codes. However, if you arrive before the blackout time you will be able to use a code if one is available.

That is unfair that you posted the AP discount for December (this is not a general public discount and is blacked out after the 23rd until the new year)to get these folks excited. December is VALUE season ($77 a night regular rate before discount) and offers the lowest price rooms, which means the room discounts are low when offered. The timeframe folks are looking for is PEAK season ($119 a night regular rate before discount for a value room).

Good luck and I hope I'm wrong. But hopefully there will at least be a good package released.

Two Easters ago I got POFQ for under $100 during Easter break (before Easter), I even knew then how great that was. Last year I don't remember what code was either AAA or AP but I remember I paid about $120 for POR for same week. Wasn't great but much better than rack price.

I totally agree with you!! I already booked knowing I am paying rack rate and be done with it!! If I get even $5 off per nite I will be doing the irish jig...
