Offical Code Watch For March 2007/april 2007 Easter

We have previously gone to Disney World in February, September, or October; but with some of the grandchildren in school now we have to pick their breaks to go together.
It will be me (49), husband (56), daughter (32 at the end of trip), grandson (10), son (26), son's wife (23), granddaughter(2), granddaughter(8) traveling during spring break week at the end of March. My son (28) (who just moved to the Orlando area) and his son (7) will meet us there.
Some of us want to stay at AKL and a few want to stay at POFQ (mainly for the water slide). I just want a great code to use, since I will be paying for the rooms. We wanted to stay for 3 or 4 days and then take a 3 day cruise, but the cruise dates are not working out for that.
Just wanted to subscribe and wait for a code. :surfweb:

Even though Typoon Lygoon is under referb. when we booked, it's still a good deal. Hope this helps out. :dance3:

Anyone who is not a resident of Canada or any other area that got a special code ever had luck trying to apply a code? I live in Mississippi and would love to have a code. I need the discount.

Searching for a coworker here. Is there a code out for March 07 yet??? US residents because I'm sure that is needed as well.

Can't answer your question as I am a first timer, but was wondering where in MS? I'm in Brandon  and am keeping an eye out for airfare deals from Jackson.

Hi. I am in Hattiesburg. My brother lives in Brandon near the reservoir. Looks like SW is our best shot. They are the only ones from Jackson that fly non stop to Orlando. Maybe tomorrow they will release further dates so I can get my tickets.

Thanks for the update Tenia66

From what I'm reading the "code" provides for (basically) park hoppers & water park hoppers for no extra charge.

Anything available for after 3/8/07?

Do you think all properties have this "code" available?

Thanks,

hound :)

:stitch2: Ok, a stupid danish girl have to ask: all these discounts, are they only for hotels, or can you get discount on tickets for the park?

I am going to WDW from the 22nd of April until the 28th. I have been there a total of 8 times but this is only the third time that I have planned a trip for my family. After reading through these forums, I have realized how much that I need to learn about finding the best deal for my vacation. I was hoping that somebody could help me figure everything out.

We want to stay at either the Wilderness Lodge or the Animal Kingdom with both park hopper and the dining plan. I procrastinated in booking because I was waiting for the codes to come out in order to get a deal. Now that I know that I can book and wait to get the deal I'm ready to go. We are members of AAA and also Disney Visa card holders. I"m guessing that any discounts won't be coming out until early winter, so here are my questions:

Are the AAA discounts for room-only, and how does that work out if you want to get the dining plan?

If I receive the AAA discount, does that eliminate the option of future discounts?

Do you recommend using a local travel agent, Disney agent, or AAA (if it applies) to book?

Should I just book the whole trip now and wait to see what deal might be the best choice?

Please help educate me!

We are going the same time as you, but are staying at POR. I have booked with AAA and got a discount of about 150 dollars or so. I haven't gotten anything else. If you have AAA and want the dining package you need to book with AAA to get the room discounted. Hope that helps you out.

Hi there - I haven't been on the boards since planning the last trip, which was during Value season. Any idea from past experience if Disney would actually offers discounts during Easter? We're thinking of going March 28 - April 6, to coincide w/ school vacation, but I just hate the idea of paying FULL price for anything! :faint:

I hate paying full price too! But like you and many others, we have to plan our vacation around school schedules. From talking with one of the CM's yesterday, it's not very likely that there will be any discounts around Easter.

Generally AP discount codes are blacked out the week before and week after Easter. If you're using a discount code prior to the beginning of the black out, you can sometimes apply it if availability is at the resort you want. I would book what you can afford and be happy with it, then if there is a discount, that will be extra. Last year we wanted to go a day early and it was the Saturday after EAster Sunday, but was blacked out, so didn't leave until Sunday. Also, remember, that that time frame is peak season, so some of the highest rates of the year. ugh.

There are several types of codes for different discounts:
1)There are room only codes- a % off cost of published rates(becoming less frequent).
2)AP rates-a special rate on room only for people who have an annual pass(usually available).
3)Package Codes(one is out now)-Where the room/dining plan/tickets are included at a special price.

A little confusing since many of us are looking for different things at the same time-but yet we all talk about codes and discounts. I hope it is a little clearer. I am not sure what discounts there are specific to Denmark. For example UK has a special code right now(expiring soon ) that means they get free dining.

If you want discounts on park tickets(and/or you are staying off site) sign up for the newsletter at www.mousesavers.com and on the 15th of the month you will get a newsletter that will provide a link to discounted tickets. Again not sure how you being in Denmark might play into this, but I figure it will be worth the shot.

I need the night of March 10th at any value. so we can stay to see the Mets play the Braves before leaving town. Were staying at a timeshare from the 3-10th.

Thanks... that helped a lot... i'll sign up for that now... We don't have any specific discounts in Denmark cause just the fact that you can go to WDW is a new thing... But thanks again:thumbsup2
