man some of you guys are harsh...i was away this week and just caught up with reading all these posts...give the kid a break, he's 16 and a little unsure of himself, but hes not a bad singer...he deserves being there like everyone else. i really dont have any favorites this year...but in my opinion i thought george did the worst last week, and that was awful how they told him to go atand with the safe group,. now how do you think that made diana and jasmine and john feel after he goes walking to group a??? and how about when they brought out fantasias little girl...come on! lets all vote for the best singer this week. and if america votes for john then he deserves it...

I agree, if JS gets the vote, then so be it - America voted.

But as far as bringing Fantasia's kid out - I think that's going over the line a bit. She's the only one that has a child and there shouldn't be any "sympathy" voting.

Really! Give me a break! I'm so tired of everyone playing the race card! I heard Jennifer say the same thing on a interview on some show. If it were really racist, Clay would have won last year!

Elton needs to get his facts straight he said-

Jennifer was the only one who had been in the bottom 3 multiple times before last week. It was Fantasia's first time there and I think LaToya's 2nd, that's hardly* constantly.*

Um obviously it can't be racist. There were 4 blacks and 8 whites in the top 12. The first 5 people to go were all white and the top 7 had more blacks than whites, so how could that be racist? If anything it would be more racist towards white people (which still isn't true since this has nothing to do with race!!)

The radio station I listen to everyday (Z100) is really starting to annoy me and I almost don't want to listen to it every morning anymore. All they ever do is bash John Stevens and play these really mean commercials about him. Every week after someone is voted off, they're on the morning show the next day or week. Of course if John Stevens gets voted off, they're going to have him on and be like "oh we love you John."

But anyways, when I was listening this morning, they were talking to Jennifer Hudson. All they kept saying was how American was wrong and everything. They asked Jen if John really told her that it really should have been him to leave. She said that John says that every week. Obviously he knows all the bashing that goes on and that's so wrong that he feels it should be him every week! He deserves to be there just as much as everyone else (he even got the most amount of votes in his group of 4, that's gotta tell you something!!). So he shouldn't have to feel like it's his turn to go every single week.

I just saw on Entertainment Tonight that JS mother came to the AI producer and told him to ask the public to back off her son. That a radio station DJ said to a listener who didn't like JS "Don't worry, at the first AI concert, we'll take him out".

Can you believe this? That poor poor kid. He has to fear for his life over his singing? This is truly sad.

Ps...he is going to sing "Music of my Heart". I can't remember what the rest are going to sing but they did say that George is sick again and his voice is 'weak'.

I'm not surprised at all by the DJ's comment. If you listen to the bashing on this board where people are supposed to be full of group hugs and pixie dust, it can't be far off where people are actually threatening him. It's quite disgusting. He's not the one voting so why is everyone coming down so hard on him? It all starts with the judges.

I saw the same thing on Entertainment Tonight and was flabbergasted. I'm definitely not a fan of John's singing, but making those type of comments about any of the contestants, regardless of their age, is just plain WRONG! I feel really sorry for John - he definitely shouldn't have to be living with essentially death threats. It's just a singing contest folks - I think we all need to get a life - LOL!! (Now having said all of that, I'm still going to vote for LaToya tonight!)

I LOVED Simon's comments to John. Very nice. He complimented his personality, he told him to feel no guilt for being there AND he made a dig toward Jennifer to boot!

Enough about Jennifer already. Fantasia singing for her and to her was making me sick! Let it go already!

There wasn't this much of an uproar when Tamyra Gray left and she's MUCH MUCH better than Jennifer.

The biggest uproar was when Clay didn't win last year.... talk about letting something GO.....
