ummm, what the heck just happened there? Since when is john better than those 3 girls? I like him, but come on! DD just kept saying, "are you kidding me?" wow, who the heck is voting anyhow? maggie

THis is a MAJOR injustice!! They need to change the voting procedures I think. There have got to be some people out there voting many, MANY times for their favorites.... I have trouble getting through just once!!! I think that there is a large, "Tone-deaf" support group calling for John Stevens on a regular basis!!!

What a shocker! I'm so sad.... I'm not sure that I want continue to watch! ................................P

How ridiculous is the American public that the 3 most consistent, talented performers were in the bottom 3? I have *never* liked the sound of Fantasia's voice, but I *can* appreciate her talent. I always thought she was too cocky and arrogant, but she was genuinely upset that Jennifer was voted off. Did you hear her tell Jennifer, "You are my American Idol?" She definitely went up in my estimation this evening.

Poor George looked so upset.

I just don't know if I have the heart to watch this show anymore.

Well thank you America, for freeing up my Tuesdays and WEdnesdays for the next month. Since I liked Matt, Amy and Jennifer and they are all gone, and I'm sure LaToya will go soon so Danny Bonaduce Jr. will win the whole thing.

I just started watching this last night for the first time. I really liked Fantasia and LaToya and Jennifer and thought that John was not up to their standard. When I saw him rated above them all, I was amazed. I doubt I will be watching again.

I'll probably get flamed for this, but I think the teen girls are swaying the results. It is pretty obvious that they are voting for the younger contestants and they don't care about talent. John is a perfect example. A teenage boy with much less talent than the others. They definately need to change the voting procedures so that only one vote can be made for a contestant from any one phone number.

Well, first of all, there are only two guys left so they are going to get a lot of votes.

A lot of people don't like Fantasia's attitude and don't forget the whole baby deal. Many people feel that she screeches her songs.

Jennifer has really only had a few good performances. People don't find her facial expressions attractive and leave the room when she is singing so they don't have to look at her.

I think people just figure that La Toya is safe and don't spend a lot of time voting to keep her in. La Toya is also very laid back and not looked upon by the younger set as someone that they would like to hear in concert. Her music is more middle age.

Jasmine and Diana have very loyal fans and both have been threatened before so their fans vote rabidly.

I do believe that next week will be a whole different kettle of fish.

Contrary to what people say, American Idol is a popularity contest. If you don't like someone, you will not buy their albums or go to their concerts. Why then should they be voted American Idol? Popularity sells.

That stinks Jennifer is gone but I was really happy LaToya stayed, plus she handled herself with the most class when she found out she was in the bottom 3.

Oh well, I think it's funny that people are finally sick of the *contestant pimping* the producers do.

There are just no words to explain this. The shock on everyone's face when Ryan told George he had gone to the wrong group said it all.

George has had 2-3 bad weeks in a row.

John has nothing. No depth. No emotion. Nothing behind the song at all. Even if I was a 16 year old girl, I would not have voted for him. I just don't get it. He can carry a tune. He seems to be a nice guy. But American Idol?!! Absolutely not.

Oh gosh...I hope Johh doesn't end up winning! Can you imagine the expression he will have on his face if he wins this?! "Oh my gosh, I don't deserve to win, I can sing, but not that well!"

I am just happy to see LaToya back on safe. WHEW!! I got scared there for a second! Though I wasn't expecting for Jennifer to go this soon.

I'm more shocked over this than I was last season when Ruben was voted in the bottom 3. All 3 of those women did NOT deserve to be in the bottom 3.

As others have mentioned, American Idol is turning into more of a popularity contest than a singing competition. If this were a true singing competition, Amy Adams and Jennifer Hudson wouldn't have been voted off so soon. Unless something happens quickly, I won't be watching next season. I was a HUGE fan last season (I missed the first season), but am very unimpressed this season.

What the heck was that tonight??? I'm stunned!!! Those 3 ladies should NOT of been in the bottom 3. There were GREAT last night! It should of been John Stevens gone!! This is getting ridiculous. These teeny boppers have gone mad. Paula was right tonight, John Paul fans are now voting for John Stevens.

George was very upset about Jennifer's departure. I couldn't believe it. She was one of the best performers last night. Where is America's head???? I like George, but felt he should've been in the bottom 3 along with John Stevens. John should've got the boot. Uggh!!!! They really need to change the voting process.
I'm afraid this year is going to be another Tamara and Nikki thing.

I can't believe it! I honestly thought Jennifer, Fantasia and LaToya would be the final 3 (with George being the 4th).

Wow! I am shocked..to say the least...the bottom 3 should have been the top 3 at the end.

I told DH when it got down to the final 10 that I thought somewhere along the line they were going to get "lost in the crowd" for lack of a better phrase. I think these 3 girls are all good and that when you listen to them that if one does a little better than the other on any specific night that it might sway votes a little..and that with this splitting of the votes, one or more of the good ones may get the least amount of votes.

Not sure if the way I wrote this makes sense or not.

People are voting by popularity not talent. Tonight's bottom three are amazing. John and George do not even compare - I can't believe they are still in it. I think they can't believe they are still in it. Did you see John's face? Total shock.

Oh, well...There's always next week.
