Does anyone think it was pretty mean of the producers to put George in that position? I mean, he had to choose in front of EVERYONE who he thought was the best group. That is a ton of pressure to put someone (esp. such a sweet guy like George) on the spot like that. Poor George has to return to the AI3 home and live with three people that he did not choose as Top 3 (even though they were ).

I think there would be a lot more people at a John Stevens concert than a Jennifer Hudson concert.


I've heard that Gloria Estefan is guest judge next week and her band will do back up.

I think what the judges said about John Stevens was a lot ruder than what AI did to George. Every time they put John down another notch, America will vote a little harder. Not everyone loves a diva.

Unfortunately for Jennifer, I think that after tonight's fiasco the reasonable people in America will make sure this doesn't happen to LaToya, Fantasia, or George.

Maybe the judges will have a wild card show, and bring Jennifer back to the competition

I am totally speechless! I was so happy when I saw the 3 ladies in one group and thought for sure they were safe Then boom they were the bottom 3!?!?! What is up with that...I think this AI is going to be a huge flop! Thinks about the outcome of records if John wins...would tons of people buy it?
I am happy to hear George stayed I know he has had 2 bad weeks but I love his voice. I would buy his records. But I love that sound kind of Hootie and the blow fish...
One nice think I think we will con't to hear from Jenifer in the future....
They need to change the voting system!

I can't believe that John is still around! Jennifer was a much better singing than John was..why are people still keeping him around. I can't bellieve he got as far as he did. He's totally out of his league compared to the other singers and I don't understand what his "fans" are hearing.
I just can't believe it. I hope Jennifer gets a deal anyway.

It looks like there is more DISlike than like on this thread. No fault taken since the performers are nowhere as good as the previous years. Regardless, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion.

Especially when the opinion is from a person who holds a BFA in Theatre, worked and wrote plays on Broadway and has been in the business for 22 years. But what do I know?????

Did you even read what you wrote? You used the confused emoticon, which is what I was using in my response. It was meant to be humorous. People shouldn't take themselves so seriously.

22 tears experience on Broadway, while admirable, does not carry any more weight in its opinion than anyone else's opinion on this board. I guarantee I can get 10 people with similar experience and they will all have different favorites. All that experience only certifies one as someone knowledgeable in music (I assume that experience is in musical theater. I wouldn't hold Arthur Miller or Neil Simon's opinions on music any higher than anyone else's) It does not give one emminent domain on taste. Everyone's taste is different, And we all judge on different qualities. If this conest was solely about vocal quality, I will grant you that LaToya and Jennifer are two of the most qualified of the remaining conestants. I will not grant that same consideration for Bobo. However, this isn't just about vocal ability. It is about charisma, appeal and personality among other things. Yes, sadly, many voters are focusing on these things way too much and forgetting about the singing factor, but they are also making a statement with their votes.

The fact of the matter is that the thing that is affecting this competition the most is the fact that you have three singers of similar style and they are most likely splitting the vote of a similar fan base. Now that we are rid of one of them, I believe the stronger of the remaining two will rise above in the end. As I said, I am becoming more appreciative of Latoya's talent. She is perhaps the only contestant who has remained consistent through the various musical styles they have performed.

Wow. I'm still stunned two hours later. If this is the way the show keeps going, they may as well re-name the show "8th grade teeny-bopper Idol."

I don't understand why John Stevens has made it this far. I cringe just remembering how he attempted to sing "My Girl" a few weeks ago. He lost his pitch before he even started.

So who here actually votes? If you are not voting for your favorites then why are you surprised when they are in the bottom 3? I vote and not just for 1 person all the time....we do vote multiple times from this house. Is it fair to have multiple votes from the same number...not really, but as long as that's the rules then that's what you have to do to insure your favorite stays in. If you want someone to stay in that's what you have to do. Put it in speed dial and just keep hitting the button over and over again.

And AI has always been a popularity contest...since day 1, that's how people like Carmen and Josh stayed in last year. And Nicky the first year. They all had very bad nights and hung on for awhile when everyone was wondering why. I think the difference is the last 2 years there were some standouts and this year there is not. I think that the person who said the 3 girls are cancelling out each others vote are right. Out of the 3 the only one I remotely like week after week is LaToya.

I am shocked as well. I was not a fan of Jennifer, but she was clearly better than John and Diana. I thought the final four would be the three divas (Jennifer, LaToya, Fantasia) and George

Oh, and I do vote. But like another poster said, I vote for my fav that I think will be lacking in votes (like George cause he had a few bad weeks) instead of all of my favs (LaToya, Jasmine, too). I did vote like crazy for Amy and she lost, so go figure

The look on John's face every time, I think he wants to be voted off. I honestly think he would be relieved. He's just so out of place imo!

Jennifer getting voted off was just wrong. Maybe eventually she should, but it shouldn't have happened tonight.

I think that bringing her child onto stage would've required some kind of release form that Fantasia would've had to sign and it was definitely pre-planned, hence them waiting in the back room. I don't judge her because of it, she probably just wanted to show off her baby but I don't think the producers could've made her, it was her choice.

Personally I just don't enjoy Fantasia's perfromances that's way I don't vote for her.

Last night I voted for LaToya and Jennifer. I also threw a vote Diana's way because I actually liked her last night and I usually don't.

It's just another case of everyone assuming Fantasia, Jennifer, and LaToya would have enough votes and therefore, no need to call. It's a pretty easy concept: choose who had the best performance and vote for them!!! Don't vote for more than one contestant and don't vote more than once. If everyone followed these simple rules, situations like tonight wouldn't happen.

Now, let's do a group hug and sing Kumbaya.

Just like most others, I'm shocked John is still there. I got so excited with Fantasia in the bottom 2, but then disappointed when Jennifer was the one to go and not Fantasia. I'm not a huge fan of Jennifer but I don't think she should have been the one to go last night.
