I was a little bit bored with last night's show. LaToya was great but none of the others really did anything for me. I would love to see Fantasia go tonight but I know that's not going to happen. It used to be just her voice that annoyed me, now her attitude totally drives me crazy, I find her to be very annoying. John has a good voice but he is so boring, I wish he'd spruce it up a little. The more I hear JPL, the more I don't like his singing.

I have to say... I LOVE Fantasia. Yes, she was a little over the top with her comments last night, but she was kidding!! She was giggling and smiling with Ryan because she was "Putting on". I love her voice. She reminds me of Macy Gray. There are several contestants that I really like this year which is different for me from the past years.....Fantasia, George (love his personality!!), JPL, the redheaded guy (can't think of his name at the moment), and LaToya. Also, Amy was awesome last night, but she's got to learn consistency. I agree with the above poster, I can't wait to see their transformations throughout the season.

I know that EW had an article about the 5 things that are wrong with AI this year and I agreeded with that article.

Do you remember what they were? I'm curious.

I agree that Simon is generally right on the money. Have you noticed that he watches the monitor while Randy and Paula watch the singer? I'm sure he can get a different perspective that way. And he can really tell if the camera loves them or not.

Worst: Diana, Camille and JP

Best: John, LaToya and Amy

Glad to see there are others that disagree with Randy and Paula about Simon. He's the only one who is honest with his critisicm, even if I don't always agree. The only thing I do disagree with is his fashion critisicm. He used Ruben as a measuring stick to George? Ruben of the 205 wardrobe that he was paid to wear? Give me a break.

LaToya does nothing for me. Yeah, she has a good voice, but to use Simon's comment, she doesn't connect with me. There's no spark when she performs.

I agree. I think she's a pretty good singer, she's not the best of the group and not the worst. But there is something about her personality that bothers me.

The bottom 3 should be interesting tonight. Almost everyone did pretty bad last night. The only 3 that definitely do not deserve to be in the bottom 3 are John Stevens, Latoya and Amy, they all did great last night!

I know some people think that it's bad that John Stevens forgot some of the words, but Clay did the exact same thing last season, and that didn't hurt him! Many performers forget their words sometimes because no one is perfect. But a good performer would be able to think fast and cover it up. I think John Stevens did a great job last night fixing his mistake, because he covered it up very well and made people think that it was part of the song!

I thought last nights show was pretty good and I was surprised at how well some of the contestants did. Wish we would have heard more upbeat songs--
Just my opinion, not that its worth much, George bugs me--nice looking guy, nice voice but his perky princess personality irks me. He is just like Diane--two handed waving, goofy big grin, tilting his head! It isn't cute on her and its horrible on a grown man!
John PL reminds me of the croc hunter. He looked sloppy last night--

1) AI has produced exactly one breakout star this season -- William "She Bangs" Hung. SOLUTION: We love the crud, but let's see more of the talent.

2) Producers erred when divvying up the 32 singers into 4 groups. SOLUTION: Give us another wild-card round! Bring on Lisa Leuschnerl!

3) AI2's finalists featured one contestant 18 or under (Carmen) -- this year there are five. SOLUTION: Raise AI's legal singing age to a more mature 20.

Imagine our surprise when LaToya London ascended to the stage like a satin-swathed Venus a few weeks back and mesmerized a nation with her rendition of "All By Myself." SOLUTION: We hardly remember Kelly's moment like this, but we do know personality is just as important as pipes. Give us the backstory sooner.

5) Simon, Paula and Randy bring up AI's heyday every freakin' episode. People are comparing the end of the last season (Ruben, Clay and Kimberley) to the beginning of this season. SOLUTION: Let's put away the Measure of a Man CD and lighten up. It's just a talent show, aiiight?

I hope before this is all over I'll finally get excited about somebody winning. I love AI and never miss it, but it's just not as interesting for me this year. Last year I rooted for Clay and this year....????

So far, Jasmine and JPL were my favorites but I thought they stunk last night.

I agree that some are way over the top with their bubbly personalities and are hard to watch and others are so bland with no personality shining through. I wish that some of them didn't bug me so much.....not to name names, but....Matt, Diana, Fantasia, and George.
And what's up with that pained look on her face when Camille sings?

Oh, I'm hoping for a better week next week!

Let's just see how America voted tonight. I think Camille will be gone.

I missed the show tonight. I see Matt got the boot, but who else was in the bottom 3?

I usually agree with Simon, but I actually like Diana. He really seems to have it out for her. I doubt she will win, but I hope she stays in it for a while. She may be young, but at least she is mature enough not to bark back when given constructive (if that is what you would call Simon's comments) criticism.

Well I'm not surprised at all. I went over to the Fox AI messege boards last night just to see who the teenyboppers were voting for and no one said they were voting for the person who was eliminated. I think Simon was right they blew it, the song choice was just wrong.

I was happy to see pageant girl, Diana in the bottom 3, maybe it'll give her the push to be more herself, more natural in her upcoming performances. I felt like she could've performed that song 10 times last night and every hand gesture, every head tilt etc...would've been exactly the same. There's no denying she can sing, she just needs to be herself and break away from her pagaent upbringing.

I don't think Matt would've been around much longer anyway and neither will Camille unless she can overcome her stage fright. My Dad, whon has Parkinsons joking around said *She looks like me when she sings* because she shakes so much. lol

Matt was so funny singing to Simon I was lmao.

Bottom three: Matt, Camille and Diana. I was surprised that Diana was there; I think she has a great voice and a lot more personality and stage presence than some of the others.

Wow, I can't believe Diana was in the bottom 3! I only commented on her earlier because I think Simon has been exceptionally harsh to her. I had no idea she would be in the bottom 3!

AWwwww....I kind of like Matt. I think he is cool in his own way. I think Matt can sing much better than Camille. Camille's voice quiver, you can hear the stage fright in her voice. Matt has more character and Camille needs a bit of that.

I wish it was Camille that went tonite. She is one HOT HOT girl...but I don't think she can sing that well...not as good as LaToya or Fantasia or Diana which I was shock to see her in the bottom 3.

Well...Camille better overcome her stage fright or loose that quivering voice. I can see her go in a couple of weeks if she keeps doing what she is doing.

SO...WHAT'S FOR NEXT WEEK? R&B? POP ROCK?
