I just wanted to be the first to congratulate PrincessLynda and Pengin on their new baby....their new FUR baby that is!

Welcome to the family Oliver!!!

Oliver, who is sleeping on his back right next to me, says, "Thank you!" Actually, he mostly says, "Meow", but I can tell he appreciates the welcome. :rotfl: :rotfl:

aww pretty kitty
Hmm,now we know that mickey has a soft spot for kitties.

I can't have cats.If my Dad gets around one,the whites of his eyes swell. It looks very very scary.

actually when my cats were small and babies still the one ate the others whiskers off and it was pretty funny to see a cat lose its balance trying to walk with no whiskers

and anyway this mouse doesnt really like cats but they are soft to use as a pillow

Hi, I'm not sure if any of you guys are interested in Soccer but I have news.
George Best, who is a soccer legend, has passed away this morning. He used to play for Manchester United many moons ago and was a highly respected player. My thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.

My cats are old (13 and 12 years old) and they still chew off eachother's whiskers. Actually, it is usually the eyebrows...very silly I think! :paw:

I've always been tempted to cut off my cats' whiskers just to see what happens...but no way am I mean enough to actually do it. do they ever grow back? do the cats just run into stuff or fall down or what? And if you like using cats as pillows you would LOVE my baby girl Timmie. She is just over a year old, twice as big as her Mommy, and we are pretty sure if we shaved her she would just be a pair of eyes, ears, a nose, and whiskers. I mean, she is WAY too fat and fluffy to be only a year old. And we can't figure out where she got the hairiness from........neither her parents, nor her maternal grandparents (have never seen the paternal grandparents :rotfl: ) have long hair at all. Timmie has 2 inch long hairs coming between her toes. I'll try to get a good pic for you guys if you care to see her. And if it fits on the screen.

Also, SorcMIckey, I think it's funny that you have been on DIS since, what, June or something? And you have 200 and some posts, while I joined LAST MONTH and have over 600.....I must really have no life. Oh wait....I've been jobless for the past 6 months, THAT'S right. Now I get it

:dog: ~Mia~ :dog: <----pretend those are cats....I think the DIS is...not racist...but, speciesist? Meaning they have 3 dog smilies but NO cats! Also if you hover your mouse over the dog I used, it says it's called "Spencer" which is my ex's name. :rotfl2: Fitting! (j/k he's not a dog)

does anyone else but me post on the CB?

If it wasn't for the CB I would be tagless!

When did the Black Friday sales online become such a push and shove match?! I started shopping for DS earlier. I would add things to the cart, get to checkout and they've been stolen from my cart and are now unavailable?! Of course, this all did not stop my mom and I from heading to WalMart to buy $350 of Christmas decorations to go along with my 8-foot inflatable Santa Mickey......retail therapy does a girl good ;)

Wow. I worked in the mall once...and I swear to God....I never have, and by all that is good and holy....NEVER, EVER WILL go to any store on black friday. I don't understand why people do. If I walked into a mall Friday I would probably have shot myself then and there. Not that I ever set foot in a mall anyway unless i have to. Thank goodness for Amazon.com!

My oldest dd wanted me to take her to the mall today for a pair of cowboy boots that were going on special- but Said, "No Way" my mom even tried to guilt me into it all.

Again I stood my ground- and guess what dd spent last night with my mom and she got up bright and early to get the boots and lots of other things lol and I got to stay home and sleep in- I've been sick- but there is no way I would have gone to the mall on Black Friday- I try to avoid shopping on most days when there isn't anyone there why on earth would I go when it was packed with crazy people lol...

I work in a mall...my first customers this morning (err...yesterday morning) were at 4:20 AM. We (my sales associate and I) got there at 4 AM and I threw the money in the registers and opened the doors. Our line was never more than 20 minutes long (this is a VERY good thing...in years past it has been hour to hour and a half long). Customers were in high spirits which helped as well!

We ended up doing $4000 above last year's goal which is a good thing. And I had gotten plenty of sleep the day before so I didn't crash until I got home at 4 or so.

But yeah, if I was not in retail, I would have been home sound alseep in my bed!

I'm hoping I'm done with this fever now because it's really making me crazy!

On a good note, I read tonight that my school was ranked #38 in the state this year (including 8 gifted/magnet schools)! Woot! Woot! :)

The worst part of working in the mall (camera store/one hour photo) during the holidays was that these kiosks would pop up like little zits everywhere in the mall. We always had the same one right outside our store....a very small enclosed square of glass shelves which held lots of breakable pottery and other glass stuff. The people that owned it....there were usually 2 or 3 of them in there, mother, father, and daughter....were, shall we say, a little bit too large to be in such a small space together, running around stuff full of glass. We used to have fun counting how many crashes we heard, and keeping a record for the time the kiosk was there. I think the record for one year (for the whole day....every shift worked on it) was 12.

Because I had to work on Thursday and Friday, we're having friends over and doing the turkey day thing today instead.

Actual quotes heard in the Bezoar household today:

- "For the third time, stop sitting on your baby sister!"

- "Is your pecan pie supposed to be doing that?" "Doing what? OH NO!!!"

- "Uhh, there's egg all over the microwave. It exploded."

- "What should I use to chisel this off the oven? What else should I do?"
- (reply: "We could try to burn it off.")
Shortly thereafter:
- "I guess all the smoke alarms in the house still work."
- (to DD3yo) "Don't worry, the house is not going to burn down. Put your jacket on while the smoke clears."

It's only 9:30 am...

Let's see, what do I have to be thankful for, on this Thanksgiving? I think I'm thankful that on Monday, I can go back to work...

Funniest thing is that I tried to avoid Black Friday by doing it all online. I had things stolen out of my VIRTUAL shopping cart :rotfl: Today I can laugh about, yesterday I was ready to scream

You know Be, when all else fails, most grocery stores have those all in one turkey dinner that just need reheating ;) If I didn't love making Thanksgiving dinner so much, I would be all for those. :goodvibes How far are you from a KFC?!

Well, that's the clever part of the Master Plan. On Thursday, lots of other options were probably closed. Today -- order out, take out, eat out, all are options, after the flames are under control.

So, should which kind of fire extinguisher should I use? And afterwards, can we still eat the turkey?

Turkey Rescue Recipe :

Wash off all traces of white powder from extinguisher......
Put back in oven for about 3 minutes on .....say.......Broil........
Now it is Cajun style ! ! ! !

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Happy belated Turkey Day to you and yours !
