Phase 1 of Reya’s Surprise
This morning when Reya was eating breakfast, I told her that I really needed to talk to her about something important.

I explained to her that because Daddy’s car wasn’t working, we needed to take the money we have saved for Disney World and use it towards fixing his car. I also told her because of this we were going to have to cut our trip SHORT. We would only get to visit Disney for 3 days and we had to cancel our Cruise. ((Which of course isn’t true))
She was disappointed but happy that she gets to go to Magic Kingdom regardless.​

Opinions?
Would you rather stay in a Suite at AoA for a couple days or stay at CSR?! It would of course be MUCH cheaper to stay at CSR, but a Suite at AOA sounds super fun too?

The POLY is beautiful! I hope to renew my vows there or the wedding pavillion.

I'm excited for the kids to see it and to be able to tell them that "This is the where Mommy and Daddy got married"

That was an incredible story about Trevor... It's always sad when someone is so sick and....well it was a wonderful thing that you all did for him and that his memory lives on...

You are a trip planner/changer... I totally recognize the symptoms, I've had it before and it seems epidemic on the Dis... Your current plans sound awesome...

I love that Thomas...The large animated face on it is awesome... I've seen it with both my kids... at one of the train museums here Pennsylvania... (I think they must have multiple Thomases...

The Poly is one of the most romantic resorts at WDW...imho... lovely idea about renewal...

I am a major trip changer. I have a problem! I'm driving my husband crazy with all the changes.

Thomas was cool, but IMHO was NOT worth the money. I love how they make sure you go through the gift shop tent on your way out. ((Just like Disney, you have to go through a gift shop everytime you get off a ride)) Luckily we got away without spending an extra penny. Actually I guess it was worth it, so I could have my dolewhip.

I was checking out prices for a vow renewal.... Not sure it's doable. Unless we just want it to be us and our kids. Even then it's WAY overpriced. Guess I better start saving?

I'm hoping to update this PTR today. I've been so fatigued and tired lately I haven't had the energy to do ANYTHING.

The surprise(s) I have in store for Reya may seem a little confusing?!


For those of you who have been following along, you know that she is aware that we’re going to WDW this year. I had really wanted to surprise her, but when we did our last DLR trip, it was a MAJOR disappointment. I had kept my mouth shut without saying one word about it for an entire year. It was hard because there were so many times that I wanted to discuss my plans with her. But NOOOOO, I had the willower to keep it to myself. And of course it backfired!
So to save myself the heartbreak I decided to NOT keep this year’s vacation a secret. However lately I’ve been sad when I watch all those youtube videos out there, with the parents surprising their kids with trips to Disney World, so I decided I need to give it another GO somehow.
So let me break it up for you “if” I can.

1. I told Reya, due to financial difficulties we have to cut our trip short. We will only be able to spend 3 days there.

2. The countdown calendar I made has 40 mickey heads on it. Instead of putting it up September 30th ((Which will Mark 40 days)) I’ll put it up on October 21st. This way she’ll be surprised when we end up leaving 3 weeks earlier than she expected.

3. November 8th/Day BEFORE departure - I’ll tell her I have to pick her up early from school “tomorrow” because she has a Doctor’s appointment. ((Boo-hoo)) she’ll be sad. Is this mean of me?! This way when I take her out of school she won’t be suspicious of anything.

4. November 9th/Departure Day- Pick up Reya. After she gets in the car, I’ll ask her if she’s ready for her dr. appointment. She’ll of course whine and say NO. So I’ll ask her if driving to Disney World sounds like a better idea?!?! --Hopefully this will cause squeals of delight!!! (I might come up with a more creative idea?)

5. We’ll continue on our trip as usual. Check into POFQ. ((She doesn’t know we’re staying in a Royal room)) Then we’ll check out on the 15th where she’ll think we’re headed back home. We’ll go to breakfast at Chef Mickeys, then hit the road. We won’t tell her we’re going on a cruise until she sees the ship.

6. We’ll do the cruise for 3 days November 18th- Ship returns. once again she’ll think it’s time to head home, so she’ll be surprised we check into AoA, and that we have another 5 days to spend at Disney World.

I get so frustrated when it comes to buying clothes for my kids. Poor Reya doesn’t fit in size 6 anymore, they look like high waters on her, yet the size 7 is HUGE and I have to roll the bottoms up 3 times. ((Which looks silly)) Then Jayden sometimes wears anywhere from a size 2T – 4T. I bought a few shirts and Disney apparel for him the other day and they fit just perfect right now. If he gets any bigger in the next 6 weeks we’re screwed.

Anyway, I thought I would share the “Disney” items I bought.

I think that sounds like a GREAT idea and you better have your video camera handy for the reactions. What a great time it will be

I have the same pain with clothes for Hope. She is so long and so skinny that her clothes just doesn't fit. She wears a size 7 pants for length and 4t waist. If pants don't come with adjustable waistbands and I don't buy them. If only I could sew...

that hoodie is just too cute....for years the closest we have had for a Disney store was about 200 miles (our Disney Store closed and then we had a character wharehouse but after a few years that closed too) so every time we go to WDW we go to the mall to the DS and to the outlets for the Disney they have there.... Sept 15 we got a new Disney Outlet which is just like a Disney Store it's only about a 10 mile drive so we are HAPPY! I can't wait to but clothes for Jaxon for our trip

Meeee Toooooo!!! It has to be better then the last video. Jayden is to young to understand, but I know the moment he sees magic kingdom he'll be jumping up and down in excitment.

41 Days Till VACATION!!!



Time is flying by! I would normally be happy with this, but I’m NOWHERE where I wanted to be with my weight loss. I’m down 17 pounds, which is GREAT but somehow I don’t feel any lighter then I was when I first started this diet. ---- However...... this morning I was able to put my wedding ring on for the first time in a LONG time..

--- Anyway... Since I haven't posted anything in a few days, I thought I woud share some more Disneyland Pictures with you. There are from our 2008 vacation. I hope you enjoy.

Ahhh... the little girls clothing saga... the jump from 6 to 7.. not only is that a large jump... You're right there is a big size jump and not only that you're probably going to find some issues with some of the styles...

It's kind of like size 6 (in some cases) ends the cute little girl styles and all of the styles 7 and up are like mini teenagers... not always but you're going to find it a whole new world... you have to shop more carefully...

It's sooooo frustrating....... This is what I get to look forward to for the rest of my life. It's so hard finding anything cute. I can't believe how "****ty" some clothing items are too. Short, Shorts for a 6 year old. What the heck. Then whenever my husband does the laundry, her clothes go from too big to TOO small... I've told him over and over to let me to the kids laundry. A for effort though.

As far as the AoA/CSR question, I'd definitely go for AoA! All the photos I've seen thus far are super cool, and I think your kids would love it!

CONGRATULATIONS on the 17 pounds lost! That's fantastic, girl! So proud of you!

I know what you mean with the little kid's clothes. I've noticed the trend for little girl's shorts getting shorter and shorter and shorter. I especially can't handle the ones with the writing across the bootie.

Love all the photos of DL! Can I ask why you've never been on the teacups?
