Did someone say, Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes & Yummy Martini’s?
Again, we start with a
BOGO ALERT. I guess the whole thing will kind of be one...go figure
Naptime went well, Tink did sleep today, making for what we hope to be a great PM. We headed to Epcot for a 5:20 ADR at LeCellier. I had been pumped to try this restaurant for months.
Momma loves her some red meat!
Mmmm Good!
As I have said before, we love Epcot. Therefore we LOVED staying at the Boardwalk. What fun it is to walk through International Gateway, with the excitement in your belly and the sounds of Disney in your ears! What fun it is to walk, with out the rush of the busses, or lugging a double wide on and off that bus. (I just had to remind everyone of what a great place we found this to be for our family!)
We were on a leisurely stroll. Not the kind that we are usually on…rushed- get the heck out of our way strolls! It feels great to not feel like you need to run to get somewhere. It was a new feeling…I like.
Up ahead we could hear the sounds of music. A nice tune, of sorts. DH looked at me and asked, “Is that music? Who is that band playing in England?” As we rounded the corner into the English gardens…. we were in shock.
It appeared that they reincarnated the BEATLES.

No Way! How’d they do that?
DH asked if we had time to stick around and watch for a bit. I warned that he had 5 minutes. Then the double wide would turn to a pumpkin, if he didn’t get it moving. So there he stood. With Nike stop watch marked for 5…
Or did he?
All the while I scooted off to take a peek-a-boo at the shops of the English. I was in and out of all of them all in less than 5 minutes. Made it back to DH, just in time for the count down to begin.
I have momma intuition. I get this inside feeling when things are going to go wrong if I am gone for too long. My kiddos need me. They need my sense of time, my sense of good judgment and my sense of just being their MOM!
I could see from a far, just as I was exiting the shops, that things were oh-so close for turning not so-fun for my DH with the double wide. I couldn’t see all of her, but I could see enough. Tink’s little feet were moving. Not the kind of moving that you do as you tap your feet to the music moving. No, this was up and down, side to side, kicking, hurling the feet kind of moving. So I hurried myself over to the double wide and hurried my little troop on their way. While I directed the troop out of the English Garden, turned bandstand, Tink Bucked and Humped…yelling GOOO DADDEEE GOOO! (Have I mentioned that she is a demanding little bugger?)
IMO, there is really not too much to Canada…or am I missing something?

You walk and walk down a long path and find a restaurant. Other than that, you can pick up a flick…but not so much more. They really should invest in beautifying the place a little bit. Dark brown, just isn’t calling name towards it to come in. Our poor neighbors to the north are getting the Epcot shaft.
I went and checked us in, while DH parked the double wide and gathered our belongings…kiddos & all. Rain was in the forecast for the evening, so I asked him to put on the doublewide rain shield and BE SURE to grab our backpack & Tink’s Sippy.
The wait staff was ready to seat us almost immediately. The whole place new we were on our way in, Tink was sure to alert them to that fact with her little BSqueaky’s. (I am praying she out grows the run as fast as you can away from mommy & daddy stage prior her next visit.) The room is dark…very dark. We were escorted to a table in the front portion of the room…smack dab in the middle. I asked if it was a possibility to sit at one of the side tables, but the hostess would have none of that. I like to sit out of the way a tich, just a tich. That way WHEN Tink acts like…well, TINK, we aren’t the complete center of attention. Get my drift.
Our waiter came out immediately and offered to break bread with us. Well maybe he just offered up some bread sticks. Yummy bread sticks. I had read so much about this restaurant, that I pretty much new what we were all going to order before we took a step inside.
But at this point in the day, my DH & I needed a drink. Ya…NEEDED a drink! Not of water either.
DH ordered a nice glass of Merlot to be delivered with dinner and a dirty martini for NOW…the as fast as you can get it to me, NOW.
I ordered this little concoction. Noted on the menu as the Happiest Place on Earth something or another…
As soon as it came, eyes were ON IT! That is 4 little eyes…batting their long leashed lids and using their super powers to get what ever it was inside of my drink that was glowing!
I promised, that when I drank it, then and only then they could have the glowing cube. (Do you see my mistake yet?)
So Lil’l Diz started in on me…immediately.
Mom, have you tasted it?
Yes, honey. It is really good.
Do you really like it mom?
Yep.
Are you going to drink it all mom?
Un huh.
Can I have the glower first mom?
Insert brakes coming to a complete halt…
FAST!
Momma did not think that one through. 1 glowing cube-of blue-spectacle of fun for 2 kiddos. = No Go!
Just then our appy’s were being delivered, so I asked our nice server for another cube of glowing blue, ASAP…please. He was happy to help us out. For a mere $5 for the cube.
It was also right before the food came that I asked DH for the bag so I could get my camera out to snap a few pictures of the grub & Tink’s Sippy, so I could fill it up, so she didn’t mess her cute self up.
Dh, didn’t have it.
Nope. Didn’t bring in THE BAG, with THE CAMERA in it or THE all so important SIPPY!
ME: I asked you to make sure you grabbed the bag & Sippy after you put on the rain shield.
DH: What? I didn’t hear you ask me that
ME: What do you think I was asking you when you were parking the double wide?
DH: I thought you were telling me to hurry up.
ME: GO…NOW…GO!
He returned in minutes, out of breath but with required materials in hand. I then snapped my pictures…
My Dh had The Prince Edward Island Mussels - served chowder style with Applewood smoked bacon and potatoes.
Rating: A-
I had the Grilled Beef Tenderloin Kabob - with roasted vegetable and orzo salad, and smoked tomato coulis.
Rating: B (cold & not too much flavor)
We ordered the House Soup specialty, Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup for our ds’s appy, but we served it to Tink. She LOVED IT! I tasted it and yep…it was very good.
Rating: A
I am not a big fan of mushrooms, but DH likes them, so I talked him into ordering the Le Cellier Mushroom Filet Mignon - Baby Bella wild mushroom risotto, white truffle and herb butter sauce, topped with fried parsnips.
Rating: A+
Seriously, this meal melted in your mouth. Melted…I wanted to trade my dh, so bad! Guess what…he did share quite a bit with me. Nice guy!
I always get stuck with the worse of the meals, no matter where we are. I ordered the Filet Mignon - glazed with maple barbecue sauce and accompanied by cream cheese mashed potatoes.
Rating: B+
For sure this was a great meal. The mash was YUMMO! Ohhh man, they were great! In fact I made them recently and ohh boy… (bad for the body though…)
For dessert Lil’l Diz had the Build your own Ice-Cream Sundae. A sundae…what kid doesn’t love that? Lil’l Diz loves melted ice cream, so he always stirs it until it is melted and calls it PLUTO JUICE. Not sure where he got that from...but it is his.
I really enjoyed the Maple Creme Brule w/caramelized maple sugar. Being a huge Crème Brule fan…I get it regularly when we dine out. This little spin with the maple was for sure a favorite version!
Rating: A
My Dh got the Chocolate Cake, which he felt was really nothing to write home about.
Rating: C
For beverage, they allow you to get one of their smoothies, in replacement of a soda. DH & Lil’l guy each got one and I got one for Tink. No pictures, as they disappeared fairly fast. Dh & Lil’l Diz drank theirs. Tink on the other hand…well…
Tink threw hers…on the floor. Go figure!
Here Tink is enjoying her new glowing ice cube...directly from my Martini to her mouth...
Just kidding...What Kind of mom do you think I am?
