Short. That will describe this evening.
Le Cellier was very good. I do recommend it to anyone who enjoys a fine piece of red meat now and then.
When the check came, my DH panicked a bit…but just a bit. The way the CM charged us seemed off. Being that we were on the dining plan, the receipt didn’t show any deduction of TS credits.

Only a large Dollar amount appeared. We waited awhile for our server to come back and when he did he assured us that he correctly billed/deducted the Table Service Credit. It really did all seem a bit fishy, so I told my DH that I would go to the concierge and have them print out all of our room charge expenses and dining plan charges to verify that the server was not mistaken. Make a mental note, because there will be more on this later.
When we left Le Cellier, we were quick to notice that the sky was darker than it should be. Until this point of our trip we had had no rain. I was beginning to feel that this was pure luck and that luck would soon run out. Tonight was the first evening of the Pirate & Princess Party. As you can see, we were not in attendance. Being that rain was in the forecast for the evening, I was not willing to gamble a perfectly fun event with the thought of my DH or I running through the chilly January rain, pushing our kiddos in the doublewide. Didn’t sound fun to me…not in the least!
We asked Lil’l Diz Man what he would like to do for the remainder of the evening. Without a second to spare, he announced TEST TRACK & MISSION SPACE! We headed to TT and saw the stand by line to be 30 minutes, so we decide to head over to MS to see if the wait was shorter. This would turn out to not be a wise choice… Sure enough, Mission Space had a mere 5-minute wait. We decided to send Lil’l Diz with me 1st while DH & Tink hung out. I had never been on this ride and was a bit nervous. The last times we were at WDW it did not have a green side and there was no way I was going on it full force!
After Mission Command checking my DS not once, not twice, but 3 times for height, we were off!

I’m all for proper safety, but 3 height checks seems a bit of an over kill…just a thought.
We basically walked right on, not a single rider in front of us. We were escorted to the debriefing video, Lil’l Diz looked up at me and told me, “MOM this is gonna be so much fun!” And he did his little excited foot move dance. I had to squeeze his little hand, just because. Just because that is what I do, I squeeze my babies when I have that ‘mom- warm all over’ feeling of love for them. So it happens many, many times a day. At Disney, it just may happen a few more times than at home.
I was pleasantly surprised just how fun this ride was. Lil’l Diz has a big fondness for science and outer space. We read many books about different planets and their make up. So it didn’t surprise me that he would really enjoy it, but it did surprise me that I really did.
After we landed on Mars, I was ready to go! Go explore the planet that is. I wanted it to continue. Lil’l Diz announced that he was really lucky because he gets to go again, with Daddy. All I could tell him was, “No fair!” I really meant it. Really I did.
My guys did MS, while I allowed my sweet girl out of the double wide to roam the MS play area.

Tink, she was not. Ms. Priss was here! She pranced around the room, squeaking as she took every step. Laughing, giggling, curtsying as she moved. A little boy who appeared to be in the same age range as her attempted to approach her. Took a few steps in her direction, smiled in attempt to breach her personal space circle. His mom, so sweet and kind encouraged him to ‘go play with the cute little girl’. Poor mom. What she didn’t know is my girl is all female. Dainty…not always, sweet…sometimes, Cute…most of the time-except when she has ickies all over her face, Sweet…anytime…that is anytime she wants something, but most of all she is…well…how should I put it…? Trouble…well yes, but hormonal may be better.
As the cute little guy approached, she returned a cute, hello, baby-style smile. I heard the mom give an
"AHHH". But I knew it wouldn’t last. Nope. Not a chance. My little Ms. Priss stamped her little squeaky feet right up to the little boy. The little boy gestured to climb up in the play center. He even tried to grab her hand to help her in.
She wasn’t having it. She threw her head to one side and gave him a squeak of her own.
He tried again. This time, going behind her and giving her a little push on the tush, as if that would help make her move upwards.
It was all real cute. I couldn’t think, but how cute he was being to her.
BUT…She put her hand on her hip and screamed.
No I mean SCREAMED, “AHHHHH! BOOOYYY nauheee…whaaaa!”
And that was it.
Over.
The relationship began and ended in seconds. For all I know he could have been an heir to the Croc fortune, her future husband…25 years from now that is.
But NO, my girl wasn’t having it.
Yet again, I apologized…this time to the little boy and the mom. Nicely explaining that my little, cute sweet little girl that I always dreamed of having…was…well, trouble.
I was very happy to see my DH & DS exiting the ride area. Whew. It was time to move on. The only problem was when we exited MS; it was no longer dry outside. Instead the heaven’s opened up on us. Seems they don’t like letting us have a WDW visit without at least making an appearance 1-10 days of our stay. At least this really was the only really bad rain while we were in the parks. We covered the kids in the doublewide with the stroller rain cover that never leaves the stroller. I went to grab the ponchos for DH & I, which I always leave in the basket. Not today though. No Soup for us!

After a few not so nice mom words, Lil’l Diz Man speaks up and states Sissy was playing with them before we left the room for dinner. So poncho-less we were, standing just inside the MS gift area. DH & I decided to be gutsy and move our butts as fast as we could over to Test Track, so Lil’l Diz could at least ride it quick before calling it a rained out evening and hauling our tush’s back to the Boardwalk.
Remember it was raining. You guessed it. Test Track was shut down due to the rain. Bummer! DH & Lil’l Diz thought that it would be ohh so cool to ride it in the rain. The CM explained that it should start up again when the rain stopped. Just then we heard a car whiz by. So DH told me that I could go in with Lil’l Diz and wait if I wanted and he would stay outside under the giant Test Track sun/rain tarp. So that I did, I grabbed my lil’l guy’s hand and in we went (after obtaining a baby swap that is). We got all the way up to the front of the line and bam, the CM announced that TT was down. This time due to the possibility of lightening in the area. My Lil’l guy was bummed! Just bummed! We stuck it out for a while, hanging out in the line. I chatted it up with the CM for a while. But after close to ½ hour of waiting, I just couldn’t take it anymore. My cell battery was dead, so I had no contact with the outside world. I didn’t know if it was raining to the point that Noah would visit, sprinkling or a clear, moonlit sky. I was beginning to worry about how DH & Ms. Priss were fairing or if Tink came back. So I had had a little heart to heart with my Lil’l Diz and told him that it appeared that TT was not in the cards for the evening, but promised that we would be back…and sooner than later! So together we jumped the line and headed out FP’s lane, out to a perfectly calm evening! WHAT! Where was the rain? How about the lightening that was threatening our ride?
Guess What?
Just then…We heard it again…ZOOOMmmmm.

Seriously it is just our luck. Don’t ever have us stand by you at a Poker Table. The TT cars were racing by again. In an instant the CM yelled that the ride was back up and in rushed the crowds. This time my DH grabbed Lil’l Diz’s hand and in they went. I had had enough waiting around for TT for one evening.
UP NEXT: POST 298...just down a bit.
