Don’t mess with the momma!
When we got back to the BWV’s our plan was to nap both Kiddos. We had a big evening ahead of us and without a nap; I knew that our meltdown factor would be high.
Well…our hopes were too high. Lil’l Diz did his very best to lay down and keep quiet, but Tink was trouble. We played a game of lay down, get up, dance in the pack–n-play, lay down, cry because her blankies were not on right, get up & shake the pack-n-play, and on and on the game went. For what seemed like FOREVER!
I finally gave up.
Knowing that the evening may not be as great as it could be with a nap, was better than listening to her whining and unwillingness to do as I say!

This time, I had to throw the towel in and go with the flow! It is rare that my girl doesn’t nap. She is a sleeper. It is not uncommon for her to sleep up to 3 ½ hours in the afternoon. Lil’l Diz rarely sleeps, but I make him lay down for a good rest every other day or so. But today there was no sleep. NO SLEEP for mom, NO SLEEP for Dad and NO SLEEP for the needy.
Boy did my DH & I really want to take a good nap.
We’re on vacation after all…right?
Since no one was in the napping mood, we had just enough time to take the long way to MK, where we planned to spend the evening. We chose to walk through Epcot and make a pit stop at the Innoventions building to score our ‘free’ private Meet & Greet with some Disney friends.
TIP: If you are a Disney Visa cardholder you are allowed a ‘free’ private Meet & Greet with Disney Characters. I use the word ‘free’ loosely, as I know I really am paying for it with the interest that Disney Visa Charges me. The Meet & Greet is located inside of Innoventions. You simply present your Disney Visa and get to go into your private meeting. There is a Photopass CM who will take many shots of your interactions with the characters. The characters differ from day to day/hour to hour. You never know who will be there, but they are always friends of Mickey! Once you are down they give you a voucher good for one complimentary 5x7 photo. I love it!
The last time we did this we had Mickey & Minnie. I couldn’t of asked for a better crew. This time Minnie also was in attendance but her companion was Goofy. Both were great and spent a lot of quality time with us, which proved to be a good thing, since Tink was nap-less and not her happy self.

What I love about this meet-n-greet is that you really feel like you get quality time. There is not another family standing behind you glaring, waiting for their turn. It is just your family and the characters & CM’s. The CM’s do a great job making you feel special. They allow you as much time as you want. At no time during either our visits did they even attempt to get us to move along. Given that all other character interactions are under more rushed circumstances, this interaction almost feels surreal.
Once the fun was done, we made our way to the Monorail. Lil’l Diz Man made another ‘friend’ (since everyone who is his age and he talks to are ‘friends’) in line for the Monorail. The boy seemed to have possibly been to The Space Center, because he had a backpack filled with space toys. Lil’l Diz loves science and space and was all over playing rocket ships with the boy.

The boys played very well together…for a few minutes, but the mom of the boy gave a strange looks

when Lil’l Diz stared spewing out space facts. Facts about how many planets we have in our galaxy and what makes up the ‘rings’ on Uranus and Saturn and how Pluto is no longer a real planet.
Those kinds of facts.
Mere child like…did ya knows…?
It was almost immediately after that, that the mom suggested that her son collect his toys because the train was coming.
Lil’l Diz kindly obliged, thanked the boy for playing, thanked him for sharing his cool toys and then looked to me and asked where the ‘train’ was?
I, being the all Disney freak mom, that I am…HAD to have a mom moment.
You know the kind of mom moment.
I know I am not alone in these moments.
I told Lil’l Diz…in not so quiet of a voice…that there is no TRAIN coming. The monorail would be coming soon, but it was not in sight yet. The only trains in WDW are at MK & AK.
Done
That is what you get for not letting your ugly kid play with my kid.
Yes, I have a bit of spunk in me. Call it fire. Call it attitude. Call it wonder where Tink got it? Don’t mess with this Momma bear's Cubs. RRRRRRRR!
