I scrapped Tink up off the floor and loaded her into the double wide. Next stop was dining with her favorite ladies. Bell Bell, as she refers to all Princesses’. Lil’ Diz Man could have cared less, about where we were going.

The only thing he had on his mind was rides, rides and more rides. But he was a good sport, as far as big brothers go; he has learned to go with the flow on certain things. Things like pretending he is going to take a nap, so I can get Tink to, or giving Tink a bite of his Banana or apple, just so she doesn’t pitch a fit. Hanging out with some pretty ladies, while we attempt to eat lunch and Tink yells and points at Bell Bell is just another one of his brotherly duties.
Long Drawn Out BOGO ALERT Below
We arrived promptly at Askerhaus for our Lunch ADR. The Norwegian hosts were ready to take us in immediately, but first they had to announce us. This gesture is grand, more grand for older children I presume. But for Tink…she doesn’t know her last name, so she could have cared less that they botched our name.
We ate here in 2005 for dinner. At the time our Lil’l Diz man was going through a Princess Love thing…he was turning 4.

The food…well the food left us feeling…still hungry. Not because there portion sizes aren’t of American Super Size proportion? It was mostly because the meatloaf concoction I ordered was like warm, wet cat food and the Ribs my DH got were ¾ fat, 1/8 sauce & 1/8 meat.

I do have to say that we chalked the poor Ribs to a poor cut of meat…we will leave it at that and hope that was the answer. The meatloaf thingy…I have no excuse for…sorry.
So why’d we come back? Simple! The chance to meet many Princesses’ in a short amount of time is well worth the promise to find something different on the menu that will not make us yak.

I remember back to Economics 101. My first college class with 500+ students, all but 2 slept each day…I was not one of them. Supply and Demand, the Supply of such princess’s is far out weighed by the demand of the little girls (and boys) who want a picture with them…just one…a touch, a smile, a hello, a hug. Anything, just to be within 1 foot of a beautiful princess!
When we were here in 2005 for dinner we were not blessed with the opportunity to have a personal meeting with a princess as we entered. In our case Princess Aurora…aka…Sleeping Beauty…aka Bell Bell (to Tink) greeted upon our entrance. Being that Tink, was dressed as Princess Aurora this day, all was great in the land of mommy photo opts…at least that was what I had hoped…
As Tink entered, she was not too sure how to proceed…should she go up to Bell Bell, should she hold on to mom, should she hold her Lil’l Diz’s hand and walk slowly to greet the Bell Bell? With a few nudges, a couple pokes and finally a bit of a mommy shove (gentle like) we got her to her destination. And as an added bonus for a few kicks and giggles Lil’l Diz joined the fun for a bit, so Mr. Photo Pass Man & I could attempt a few shots of my darlings. Wouldn’t you know it that as soon as I started snapping, my battery went dead…Of all times…just when I needed it most. To make matters worst, I didn’t have an extra battery for it yet…so I had to rely on Mr. Photo Pass to capture the best of the best…or at least I had hoped he did.
Tink giving the 'cold shoulder'
Once Tink was in place and all warmed up to Princess Aurora (Bell Bell), leaving her (Bell Bell) was just about the last thing that she wanted to do. We basically had to pry her away from Aurora, while she chanted, “Bell Bell, Bell Bell, Bell Bell.” We promised her more Bell Bell’s to come, so finally little miss BSqueaky Shoes, squeaked her way over to our table.
What happened next was a pure mixture of Tink’s excitement of seeing all of the Bell Bell’s (princess’) and Tink’s alter ego Ms. Priss coming for a visit. Every Princess who visited was warmly, or not so warmly greeted by our little darling with either a POUT and cold shoulder, or excitement. Not the ‘Welcome’ to my table, ‘thanks’ for coming over to visit me kind of excitement…this excitement was to tell the NEW Bell Bell (princess) that there are other Bell Bell’s there. She would simply start chanting Bell Bell to the Princess’ and point her little finger over to the Bell Bell who had just left our table, attempting to explain that she just saw a Bell Bell. It was cute, yes…But hard on me to get any pictures (with my little purse camera).
Pictures can tell the story:
Lunch was…Better than the last time we ate there. Again the character interaction was hands down, great! We were even awarded with the appearance of Cinderella. This was a highlight, since to this point she hadn’t been a regular Bell Bell assigned there. Once we were seated, our CM Waiter alerted us that she might be there, since she had been frequenting the joint.
Food = B
To start your meal, you get to take a visit to the Salad Bar, which has your traditional lettuce salad, cold salads, fruit, meat & cheeses, in addition to several styles of herrings. Both times we have visited, they have brought out our meals, even before we have taken turns getting our food from the Salad Bar. My recommendation would be to place your order after you have gotten your salad course.
Dh ordered the Pan-Seared Trout, with stewed red cabbage, apples, bacon and garnished with a roasted onion and beet jam
I ordered the Slow-Cooked Meatballs served with lingonberry demi
And I swapped the rutabaga mash for potato mash.
My meal reminded me of Swedish Meatballs, which I love and my DH said his Trout was good, but not seasoned greatly.
Our Kiddo’s shared a kid’s pizza and our Tink ate a bit of each thing we took from the Salad Bar (she is a great eater).
Dessert there is a favorite of mine. You get a large plate delivered to your table with:
My personal favorite**Rice Cream topped w/ fresh Strawberries and Sauce, Chocolate Mousse on a chocolate waffle cookie & A Lingonberry Tart.
During our meal we were presented with a present. A present, which can be purchased for the low, low cost $31.90.

This gift is a collection of the photos that Mr. Photopass had taken. The best of HIS best. My Dh took one look at those pictures of his little Tink; all dressed up like Aurora, sitting next to Aurora and announce, “We’ll Take Them!”

There was no, “How much do they cost?” or “Honey, do you think you got as great of pictures as these?” Plain old simple, “We’ll Take Them!” So now were are the proud owners of an 8x10 and several 4x6 or our Tink & one of her Bell Bell’s and a few shots of out Lil’L Diz are in there too… We don't have a scanner, but I may try to take a picture of a few of those priceless pictures.
