We will be staying at Regal Palms (US27 at Berry Town Centre) in August and this is our first time doing a proper offsite location - we usually stay onsite through DVC or at DTD and tend to only eat onsite.

I have a list a mile long of restaurants that I have heard people talk about and am slowly plodding throught the websites (have to keep stopping to mop up the drool:rotfl2:).

Can anyone recommend any places on the US27 (or near to it) to add to my list?

Another vote for Manny's :yay:

Depending what day or time you plan on visiting, and since you cannot make a reservation, it may be worth calling forward and leaving your name. They will put you on a list and give you an indication of how long to be seated.
The can potentially save you a long wait. ;)
Last August, we turned up about 17:45 and had to wait over an hour! :scared1:

Thanks guys. Manny's is already on the list.:)

I am also checking out Wayne's reports as he seems to find the best places to eat!

Wayne does have some good recommendations that I agree with including:

Mimi's
Texas Roadhouse
Sweet Tomatoes

& Manny's of course

My vote is for the Cracker Barrel as well. It seems the most "home cooked" type of restaurant offsite and I just love the old Americana style it has. In some ways it is themed like Frontierland!

They also give you warm "biscuits" (scones to us this side of the pond) and butter instead of the standard bread at the start of the meal. Absolutely delicious :cloud9:

After the meal you can wander round the interesting gift shop, or sit on the porch in a rocking chair while playing checkers - as far as I can tell all the Cracker Barrels have all of this available.

We really enjoy Cracker Barrel breakfasts. The blueberry pancakes are excellent.

Applebees in Berry Town was good - also near Publix Supermarket so you can do some stocking up for the Villa in the same trip.

It's not on 27, but I would recommend Bahama Breeze - possibly the best Key Lime Pie ever (and they do take out).

We also enjoyed the steaks and fajitas at Chilis.

Check out this post on the Dibb by Simon Veness. It's a bit out of date, as I know Sherlocks, sadly, didn't work out in this location, but useful nonetheless.
