Last September when we were down at the World on our 2nd day going to MK there were EMH for on-site guests. When we arrived at the ticket and transpiration center to get on the monorail/ferry they were holding all guests back behind the gates and not allowing anyone to get through because of the EMH.
We are going in just a few weeks and have a Keys to the Kingdom tour scheduled on a day when there are morning EMH at MK. Our tour is scheduled for 8:30. How can we go about getting to the park in time for our tour if they are going to hold off-site guests from getting on the monorail/ferry? Will they let us through if we tell them we have a tour scheduled? We don't have any paperwork to prove that we do. Because it is summer, will they be holding guests back from making their way to MK?

We had several bad experiences last September and the customer service at the ticket and transportation center was a couple of them. Just trying to think ahead to problems we may have and try to find a solution early.

TIA!

Gaining entrance to the parks to partake reservations for or an activities prior to the opening of the park.

Have your documentation available for the cast members and you will get thru.

If your still nervous send an email to Disney with the situation so they can give more details.

There has to be something you have. An email, a confirmation number, a name of a person you talked to. I would make sure you have something with you. If you can prove you have a tour scheduled, they should let you through no problem.

How did you pay for it? You must have an email receipt, or a confirmation number at the very least. You can always call and ask, but I would make sure to bring something on paper for sure.

I have never been at TTC prior to an EMH, but I'm wondering - are the boats or TTC monorails even running? If not, I don't know how they would even get you to MK.

Here is what I suggest - get to TTC early, walk on the path to Poly and catch the resort monorail from there. They won't check if you are a hotel guest at the Poly monorail. However, once you get to MK, you will most likely still have to show some proof you have booked the tour. I would bring your 12-digit tour confirmation number. If you don't have it, call Disney tours back and get that number!

I think it would also have a lot to do with early vs late. If it's evening EMH there's no reason for non-resort guests to be going to MK. If it's morning EMH, then non-resort guests will be heading to MK to get in at the regular opening time. But yeah, as long as you have some sort of proof it shouldn't be a problem - just like having an ADR at CP before opening.

The resort monorail stops at TTC. You will be able to take that. They will let you through the TTC gate with your confirmation number and time of tour. I doubt the ferry will run early but the monorail runs for resort guests and people with early ADRs and tours.

We were there last August and they did hold us back at the TTC as well.
