Off property hotel that is close to AKL??

We want to fly in the night before our check-in day at AKL to be able to have a full park day that day but don't want to pay for an extra night at AKL. Are there any hotels close or sort of close to AKL that are inexpensive, but clean and ok to say in? We don't need a pool or anything, just a clean room to sleep in that night.

Clarion Maingate is pretty close. You take Sherbeth road right to the AK.

The absolute closest is the Holiday Inn Maingate West. Don't know what it's like inside. It looks OK enough on the outside except for the garish paint job.

There's also the Radisson Worldgate usually about 50$ if you can risk Priceline.

Why not spend a night at the All star Resorts? Aren't they close to the AK?

AK yes kinda of - but the Holiday West is less than 1/2 mile from AKL.

There are 5 of us so we can't stay at All-Stars. I think I will try priceline for a DTD hotel. That will be easy and we can hit DTD while we are there and if we are lucky, get a room with a view of Illiuminations.
