what's your favorite professional sport and what's your favorite professional sports team (it doesn't have to be a current one)??

Fav Sport - College Football (Ohio State)

Fav Team - Good question, but the Detroit Pistons has sparked my interest in pro basketball. Really enjoyed the finals with the Lakers.

My favorite is definitely baseball (see my first tag on the left ), followed by football, then a distant tie for third between hockey and basketball (I LOVED basketball in the Bulls' Jordan era).

My favorite teams are Cubs (who've consistently broken my heart since 1984) and the Twins. And yes, the Yankees ARE the evil empire!

I follow the Twins much more closely - more convenient, I suppose, since I watch almost every game on TV - but I would be celebrating with the rest of the North Side if the Cubbies ever made it to the "big dance." *Sigh* they were sooo close last time!

I'm a season ticket holder of the Vikings - can't wait until the Christmas Eve showdown at the Dome against the hated Packers!

I'm starting to get into hockey again since I've had the chance to watch the MN Wild play - what a great stadium and a fun team to watch! DH even managed to get tickets a couple times to the playoff games the season before last - it was soooo much fun.

My fave though is baseball.

Fav. sport- NCAA Basketball

Fav. teams- UT Longhorns (Hook 'em!) and Wake Forest Demon Deacons (alum). Saw both- teams play this last year in Austin- great game!

gotta have my football! 3 games on Sunday, Monday night and Thursday night.....I'm a freak. My hubby thankfully has come to love the sport too! LOL
My team of course is the Patriots. Always has been since the days of Grogan. Of course for a long time you had to mumble their team name or get laughed at but now I can say it with my head held proud! LOL
I also love racing! GO TONY!!!!!!!
Sometimes I've been known to carry in my kitchen TV and put it next to my living room TV so I can watch the race and football at the same time. What a geek!!!
