Off of active duty to BCV

My wife wrote Disney and explained that we were DVC members (OKW) and I had been on active duty in Italy from Nov 01 to Jul 02 and were going to go to BCV in August after I got off of active duty. My wife asked Disney to consider extending discounted admission -- request was granted, and my understanding is that I just have to produce ID and copy of orders to take advantage of discount (good thing, money is tight now).

Currently no money to buy into BCV, but if knew that SAB would be feature of BCV membership, would do it in heartbeat as BCV is situated in most interesting area -- has anybody used childcare yet? My wife and I would like to go dancing.

After being in Med (Europe and North Africa) it is amazing at how blessed we are, will drop a report after stay,

but considering that one of the most recent hotels was in Rome (without air conditioning, on 5th floor -- walk up; and discos and restaurants going until 4 in the morning) we are spoiled by DVC.

Hope you and your family have a wonderful trip - We only used daycare once at BWV when they let DD and DN hangout at the child care center there when self and DH learned about DVC and bought in - when we went to get them they didn't want to leave they were having to much fun. I would also like to say THANK YOU to you and all members of the armed services for keeping and making us all feel safe and defending our way of life and all the freedoms we enjoy so again THANK YOU!

SAB is a feature for BCV owners. That's one of the reasons we bought there.

Welcome home and thank you!! I have never used the child care at WDW but did do research in case my kids wanted to use it for the grandkids. Fairy Godmothers got good reviews for in room sitting. Check out the Family board I'm sure a search over there will help. You deservea night out!

Thanks from my family also.

We've used the Harbor Club (BWV), Neverland Club (Poly), and Fairy Godmothers. All were great. Harbor Club is not as elaborate as Neverland, but our boys loved it anyway. They insist on going to Neverland EVERY time we go to WDW, and would rather try out a new "club" than go with us just about anywhere!!

Fairy Godmothers was great. Mature (not necessarily gray-haired, but mature) women who have children and grand children of their own. They sometimes bring their own toys, will stay until whenever, and are wonderful to the kids.

If your children are old enough, definitely go for a kid's club. Carefully review their policies, as some have 4 hour maximums (I think Sandcastle at BC is one). Neverland has not had a maximum stay when we have used it. The advantage to Harbor Club is that if you're dancing on the BW, it's as close as the hotel. You can get dinner at just about any of them, it's included at Neverland.
