Oh well - just spent a couple of hours booking again on the Internet.

2 weeks end of August.

Got a bit of a shock though as the Virgin flights (PE) are several hundred pounds more per ticket than they were last year.:scared: oh well it has to be done :)

then went and booked the clubhouse via VH - they now seem to ask if you are a VA or VH customer so it must now be accepted practice for them to take VA customers - although they did ask if we were PE or Upper.

Only 48 days to wait !!

No - we tend to eat offsite these days.

Steadily doing the rounds of the places we always wanted to try but never got round to it - Moonfish, Vitos etc

great news!

We can't afford to fly PE this year, though if we had the money we'd would without a shadow of a doubt!

Have a great trip and happy planning!

Oh sounds great :) I take it you rang the normal VH number for the CH?

Claire ;)

Yes Claire - just the normal booking number.

Have to confess my wife did it as I didnt have the cheek because I actually think is a bit of a fiddle. However they didnt seem to mind at all :goodvibes

Presumably its a way for Virgin to sell more seats in the lounge than would normaly be taken by VH customers.

Lol at your DW booking it. I have now booked as well for LGW CH, it is a great way to start the holiday :)

Claire ;)

Nice one, know what you mean about PE - added £1400 to the cost of our holiday next March.

Yes PE is a great cabin :)

Did you only book the Clubhouse via Virgin Holidays? None of their other services?

Yes Obi - just the flight. Thats why I thought it was a bit of a cheek. However they didnt seem to mind.

What is interesting is that I was just reading a thread over on Vflyer - where all the "experts" claim you have to book a holiday with VH to do this. Got the tip off Deb originally.

Anyway - nuff said I tink. Dont want em flooded out with enquiries so they stop doing it:)

Are you a member of the FVC as you can get access that way?
Did they ask you for your FVC card/membership number?

I was (am) a member of FVC - although got a letter the other day saying I no longer qualified - which is wrong but I couldnt be bothered to argue it as I dont book with VH anymore :)

So no - I didnt quote an FVC number and havent booked anything with VH except the lounge.

I did have to confirm what VA flight we were on and that we were PE.

Remined several times that it was "smart casual" dresscode. :)

ps. this is the second time we have now sucessfully booked this as we did it for the Las Vegas trip earlier this year.

Well Snapper,

I hope you enjoy your holiday... we will be there at the same time.

Cheers

Bill
