his Cars underwear the most!:lmao:

Seriously, DS is 3 1/2 and got some Cars underwear from my sister. He opened them, started screaming and jumping up and down, ripped the container open and proceeded to put them ALLLLLL on his head and run around. :rotfl2: He did this for about 10 minutes straight. DS is one of the shyest kids that I know so my whole family just looked at me like 'who is this kid?' and everyone had a great laugh.

If only I had known I could spend $5.00 and make his Christmas!

Bwa ha ha.

Similar aged son, similar experience. :) (long story below)

DH requested that we not give clothes as presents to DS this year, because DH always hated getting clothes as a child. I knew that our son is different, but I went along with it so DH would be happy, and gave the clothes early. But I forgot to give DS the new underwear, and the pajamas didn't come in time.

So we didn't do xmas this year, but opened presents on Yule. Had a late start, so I had to send DS and DH out of the apartment in order to bring things out of hiding places.

While they were off recycling and putting garbage down the chute, they rode the elevator a few times. The last time, someone got in and DS wanted to hide, and while scooting behind DH, he hit his head on the railing in the elevator.

So when they got back to the apartment, DS was wailing. I had made cocoa as a little surprise, but that didn't help the hurt. I kissed his head and ear where it hurt, but that didn't help. I hugged him, but he just wriggled down, wailing.

Then he saw the stack of presents. But it wasn't the presents he saw, but the unwrapped (but tied together with ribbon) brand new dinosaur-print underpants. He gasped in surprise and awe, ran over, grabbed the underpants (I had taken them from the package and pre-washed them so they were ready-to-wear), and shrieked "NOW I FEEL BETTER!!!!"

And then I brought out the pajamas (which I had forgotten again!), and he almost fainted in joy. :rotfl:

Seriously, we could have put away the wrapped presents at that point and he would have been fine with it. It was 4 in the afternoon, but he insisted on putting on new pajamas with new underwear, and normally it has to be well into the evening to get pjs onto the boy.

Oh, and he has POTC underwear, too (even though we won't let him watch the movies). One has Jack, another has Will, and the third has the Black Pearl. Whenever he wears the character underwear, he rallies hard for me to allow him to wear them backwards, because he doesnt' want Jack or Will behind him. He wants to be able to look down and see them.

I've let him wear them backwards twice. Both times he was picking and pulling and tugging at the back (aka the front) of his underwear b/c it was uncomfortable, but the ability to see Jack or Will just by looking down seemed to make it worth it for him.

3 year olds are hilarious.

My great-neice (that sounds so funny, I'm only 35, how can I be a "great" anything!) Is also only 3yo. We had the big family gathering at my MIL's on Christmas Eve. DN got all kinds of Barbie stuff and Baby dolls, which she loves, however, my SIL, in order to make the gifts "even" between DN and her brother, added a little tin with 3 Disney Princess glitter lipglosses in it. It literally cost less than $5. DN carried that around all evening showing everyone how to put it on and what the different ones looked like. She even carried herself in a very "Princess" way. It was so sweet.

Thanks for making me laugh!
DS is 2 1/2, and just started really getting the Christmas/Santa concept this year. Everything was amazing. He was such a hoot.
Hopefully we'll be buying him underwear soon... I hope I get the same reaction!

That is so cute :) My kids always like the craziest things the best.

I wanted to add my cute undies story as well:

When my DS was around 4 (he is now almost 7) he picked out some Thomas the train underwear from target. We bought two packs of them and he was so excited. After we got home I washed them I put them in his drawer for him. The next day we went to a movie with a friend and her children. While in the movie DS had to go potty, so I took him. He was taking so long in the stall so I said "Justin we are missing the movie let’s go a little faster". He says he can not get his new underwear pulled all the way up, so he opens the door for me to help him. There he stands wearing 8 pair of Thomas underwear :lmao: I about died from laughing so hard. It was the cutest thing ever. Little boys are so stinking cute!

My 6 & 8 year olds have an obsession with tape. They take it from the kitchen and tape doors shut, toys in their playroom, etc.. Strange, I know!
Anyway, I now hide the tape because I was tired of losing so much tape.
I threw a roll of tape in each of their stockings this year, figuring they would get a kick out of it. Well, they told everyone that walked in the door on Christmas that Santa gave them tape in their stockings!! Who knew the stupid tape would be the thing they talked about most..:yay: :yay:

My DS 3's favorite gift was a bag of socks that look like his older brothers socks, he yelled I got socks and stopped opening his presents to open the socks, put them on and showed everyone his feet, and he is still showing off his socks today he took off his shoes in Circuit City to show a woman who asked about what he got for christmas.

Of all the gifts my DS4 got this year, his favorite was a remote controlled car that I actually got for free.
I purchased a gift for someone else and got this car in a tattered box for free. I remember thinking "now what will i do with this?"
Well, believe me, we went waaayyy overboard on gifts this year, but at the last minute I decided to wrap that car up and put it with his other gifts.
That car lost its 2 back wheels the minute we put batteries in it and put in on the floor, but he played with it all day on Christmas Day. It actually rolled with only two wheels!!!:confused3
It's amazing at the simple things that kids love!!!

Oh Lacy that is soooo cute!

lighttech, I hope you get to use underwear soon!

Thanks. I hope so too. He's using the potty periodically, but not consistent yet. He also still won't #2. Poor kid keeps going in his diaper and then saying "Mommy, I have to use the potty" and being all excited. He just hasn't quite figured out that he has to say that first! :)

But he'll get it. He's 2 1/2, so, as long as he stays at least somewhat interested, we're not pushing. (Darndest things work too... I told him that his pee-pees like to go swimming in the potty, and now, all of a sudden, he's using it more than ever! He even talks to them and asks them if they are excited to go swimming! :rotfl: Kids have the best imaginations.)

DS is 6. He got lots of great things for Christmas, a Webkinz, Matchbox cars, some boardgames that he asked for, etc. Whenever anyone asks him what he got for Christmas, all he talks about are the 2 bookmarks that were in his stocking. If I had known bookmarks were going to be the big thing this year, I could have saved a lot of money...;)

I was lucky with DS in that he was VERY obvious when he was going #2. He would stand stockstill and look VERY serious. I had a friend whose son always moved backwards when "going". When he was crawling, he would start crawling backwards. When he started walking, he would walk backwards. And later he'd walk backwards into a closet and finish up, in his dipe, in there. Very obvious.

We used the Bjorn potties, the little ones. Had one on each floor of our house when we had a house, and now we just have one in each bathroom for those days he doesn't want to use the toilet. When he'd go rigid like that, I'd grab a potty, pull down his dipe (easy b/c we used cloth), and have him sit. My friends thought I'd have a kid who would refuse the bathroom and just want to sit in the living room doing his business, but it seems to have worked!

Funny stories!!

When DS was 2, he received all these fun, great presents. But the biggest hit of the day were the percolator from an old fashioned coffee pot my dad got, and riding on a 5 gallon water cooler tipped on its side that my DH received. :confused3 Once again, the money we could have saved......... :)

So cute.
Just got my 2 1/2 year old daughter trained . still does diapers at night .
Loved the princess underwear she recieved wfor Christmas while we were at Disney
