Odds of getting a PIN when room is already booked?

I checked back through my email and I have had 4 PIN codes since 2010. Two of them were for fall 2013, but we aren't able to make a trip until 2014. Since I have my dates chosen for October 2014 I am tempted to book, but I don't want to ruin my chance of getting another PIN code. Has anyone ever gotten a PIN with a booked package?

Good question. I've been "in the system" for years and never gotten a PIN code.

I've received 3 PINs since I reserved with a free dining PIN for the same period (fall 2013).

I've gotten a RO pin when booked on a RO discount.

I receive multiple PINs a year and I have always been booked previously. As far as anyone knows, they are random.

My daughter just got her 6th pin. We are already booked! This one was odd. It was for a R/O discount during the same time R/O is offered to the general public. It was a 16 digit number and said "here is the pin to use". She got it just this week!

The room PIN has different percentages off than the public offer, and includes more resorts and room categories.

I think it is strange she keeps getting the offers over and over when the room is booked in her name!

I booked a few weeks ago and have gotten two email pin codes and one mail code since booking. I know they may have been in the system (the pins) already, I know that it is really because I am now on the pin list. I get them all the time.
For universal as well. We stayed spring break 2012 and get a code about every 3 months.
