Odd survey

I am at Disney World now. I was in Magic Kingdom on Monday and got a survey. It was really long and asked quite a few non magic kingdom questions. The odd part to me was the actual questions. I work for a research company and we write and implement a lot of surveys. These questions were clearly written to get a specific negative answer. I have never seen such a leading survey and I’m curious why they want negative responses. My company would not write or field questions written this way. (Our reputation would be tarnished) Maybe changes are coming?

I have noticed with Disney surveys they are definitely written in a manner to get the response they desire. Seems more like they want to be able to say "most visitors say they like X" rather than allowing for a true picture of what the guest desires. But I haven't seen the survey you received, and don't recall any particularly negative surveys from Disney in the past. All just slanted to the response they want.

I find Disney surveys to be incredibly annoying. But every so often, I'll do one in hopes of getting an idea of what Disney is planning.

I stopped replying to all surveys for the reasons cited above. Disney isn't alone in asking you to fill out surveys with questions that seem slanted to get a specific reply they already have in mind. Many surveys appear to be developed by amateurs who have NO experience writing effective survey questions. Or they seem to ask the same question in five different ways or try to get way too specific with the replies. You NEVER get any feedback once the survey is completed, so I now just push 'delete' when any type of survey shows up in my email.

My company does this all the time. For example, let's say, to save money, they are going to get rid of all the chairs. They'll send out a survey asking about attitudes towards sit-stand desks. The results come back, then they'll put out a statement like, "65% of the people surveyed said they would enjoy not having a chair!"

So irritating. I stopped responding since it was really clear they were just fishing for data to support a decision they already made.

I wish I thought to take some screenshots. They asked questions like How over crowded was the park? Genie+ they asked how unsatisfied was I with the experience not how satisfied was I with the option to say I wasn’t.

I also caught 2 words not spelled correctly. Just seemed to be a really poorly worded and designed survey. I’ll admit I always fill out surveys because I know how hard it is to get people to do it.

If they want to do away with genie+ I won’t complain 🤣

My AP passholder just received a survey the other day about AP perks value.

The good part was that it wasn't one of those surveys where you check an answer but don't get to communicate what you actually think. imo Disney is notorious for asking questions that you answer the way they want you to or just cut you off with no abillity to explain your response. This survey let us communicate our likes and dislikes more accurately.

As the survey was inside WDW, I would be assured it was a Disney Co. survey.
If they really want to know negative feelings then I can see why questions would be asked to lean a person's answer in that way.

I used to work as a phone caller for market research. Just a fyi: many, many surveys asking about a specific brand(s) are actually from competitors.
