My DB, DSiL and DNs are going to WDW next week. They are planning on a day at one of the waterparks. Today my DSIL calls me in a panic because it just dawned on her that she wear glasses (no contacts) and was worried about her glasses while in the water. She cannot see much w/o them.

She asked me if there are waterproof cases (like those you can get to put cc and cash around your neck) but for glasses in the park shops. She tried getting contacts but they would not arrive on time. Even ordering on Amazon with Prime it might cut it too close - she is in PR and Prime takes longer than 2 days we get. I told her to check Walmart, Sports Authority and the many surf and scuba shops in PR.

So, if she cannot find it at home is there something she could buy at WDW that would work?

When DH wore glasses, he just used a strap to keep them on. We bought several at waterpark shops over the years because they would get misplaced at home before the next trip.

Thanks so much for the suggestions! I will pass them on to her and see what she decides. Last year we all went together (no waterparks though) and I planned everything. This year she has realized all that goes into planning a WDW vacation.

The straps that hold the glasses tight do work. My only caution would be too wash them after swimming so chlorine doesn't sit on the lenses. A quick wash with the bathroom hand soap should do fine.
