I would LOVE that as we are arriving on the 17th and could start our trip at US/IOA and then switch to WDW as of the 22nd. However, this date goes against all the other data provided thus far. I am keeping my fingers crossed though.

CMs tell folks all kinds of things. Until it actually happens don't believe half of what they say.

(There are regular posts on here... CM X told me that the AP discounts were coming soon, followed by CM Y told me NO AP discounts... All on the SAME day LOL!)

Ok, so we are trying to plan a trip maybe in Aug. but our dates would be Aug17th to Aug 24th. Due to my sons school starting Aug.27th. So we are thinking ok we won't make Free Dinning so we have 2 rooms on hold at AKL with AAA. And after booking the CSR says to me, "call back 1st thing Monday morning and you will be in for a treat?" I said to her" I had already heard about the Free Dine but heard the dates don't start until Aug 26 and thats to late for us, but thanks anyway" I was thinking maybe she just forgot that our dates don't match then she said again. " I can't say anything more, just call back Monday morning and ask to see if anything I can get anything else special with my trip? But said she couldn't say anything more??????????????????????????? Odd huh??? What do you think.. Is she just messing with me, because due to mousesaves.com it even has dates listed that are not matching ours either???? so do you think it is possible that the dates are wrong and so more people like us might end up getting free dine also??? I wish!!!

I hope so since my dates are 8/17 to 8/25. Time will tell. Maybe all the pixie dust people have been wishing is actually going to work.

Instead of y'all calling Monday morning--and blocking up the CRO phone lines even further--why don't you just check the Disney Visa website early Monday morning? I'm sure the promo by then will be up, and will have the dates. It might even be on the Disney website by then.

That will it'll save you sitting on hold for 20 minutes...and will free up the lines for those of us who are actually going during the free dining times.

It may not be the free dining that is on offer for those dates though, there may be another offer.

Plus the OP didn't state she was using a VISA card either. I would be happy with a good room discount. I am getting a 15% one with AAA for our stay at WL, but will be more then happy to get a greater discount.

I just got off of the phone w/ CRO and the CM that helped me hadn't heard anything yet. We added an additional night onto our stay and switched resorts (Polynesian to ASMu , long story) and added hoppers and waterpark. I went ahead and scheduled an ADR for our last night and she said, "I'll go ahead and put in that you have the DDP since you are aware of a promotion."

Catalexander, did your friend confirm that free dining will be offered to the general public on the 12th? TIA

Well if your friend is correct then that would make sense for the CM telling me to call Monday!
I sure hope your dates are correct and the ones I heard about are wrong!!!

Fingers crossed that they do have more dates available..it'll help me a bit as I am getting there 2 days before the promo and would like free dining the whole time, and also to my other August Dis'ers going who may miss it due to it being at the FAR end of August. I am praying for everyone! 8 more hours and we shall know more

If the FD dates are earlier than reported that would be good for us, for next year. I am booking in at the end of the period for THIS year so that NEXT year I can, hopefully snag another FD with the same AP's and the earlier the start dates the more days we will get!!
