October trip ** help needed

We are camping at FW 10/15 thru 10/21. There will be 3 motorhomes and 10 people. Are there any discounts or free dining being offered during that time period? We're trying to do this as a budget trip and any suggestions would be great!

Is this a very crowded time of year?

Right now there is a Kids stay & play free offer and room discount offers that cover arrival dates to Oct 1. That is the farther out that discounts are being offered at this time. Both of the packages must be booked by March 27.
I would say to look for new discounts to be released anytime after March 27 (even up to a few weeks later). Mid-October will be a wonderful time to visit WDW. Be sure to check out Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. There is an entry fee separate from park tickets, but I went for the first time last Oct and absolutely loved it!

From what I understand Free Dining is never offered for the Campsites at Fort Wilderness only at the cabins

Hi there - we wilil be at the fort from the 12th to the 22nd of October. Just to let you know that many discounts that Disney offers do not extend to the campground (the cabins are included). So Kids stay and play doesn't apply nor does free dining. There is however a room only code right now that you can apply I believe (Save on stays most nights April 28 to June 14, 2011 and August 14 to October 1, 2011 when you book by March 27 but you'd have to phone and double check that) and there is a AAA discount for campsites. We also did the dining plan for our trip since it was the cheapest option for what we wanted to do but run your numbers and figure out what's best for all of you.
