What is the chance of getting a discount code of any sort for the week of oct 4-13? Would the chances of a discount be better if we traveled the 18-27? Thanks for any advice

Yes, you would have a better chance with the later dates

historically, discounts are offered for either of those dates. The later date typically has more availability against the discounts though.
