The AP website says you can book online or call (714) 781-4400.

I'd say call the number and ask, at least I never saw anything posted about Disney Visa bookings yet. Of does Disney Visa have a website have a website where you could check about special offers?

Thanks! I was able to call and purchase tickets a few minutes ago with my Disney Visa.

We'll be there Oct. 21-25, staying at the HoJo. I just bought our tickets for the Oct. 22 Mickey's Trick-or-Treat party. :yay:

I need to do more research but for now have updated this thread. I have added Trick or Treat which is a lst of when people are going to the Halloween event. Remember that my check ins are tools and it is up to you to use them as you feel fit. I try to keep the info up to date so you can plan your trips. I am tweaking my birthday plans as you can see. Unless Blue Bayou changes I am thinking of Goofy's Kitchen, Taste Pilot's and the Celebration barbecue for my birthday.

Enjoy the thread and feel free to ask questions about events, ride closures and anything else pertaining to October trips.

Until the tickets go on sale I can't be sure but at this stage we plan to do the ToT party on 2 October. Our last night there... how lucky is that!!!

I hope you can get them. I wish I was rich so I could buy a whole bunch for friends to hold. I am happy I get to go the day before my birthday. I think you should be able to get the tickets, I am hoping so. Maybe that is their way to get people to be AP and visa card holders.

I'll be there with my husband and mom from Oct. 8-13, and we'll be at MHT on Oct. 9, dressed as Alice, Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts. I can't wait! :cool1:

We'll be going to the Trick or Treat Party on Oct. 22nd...as Robin Hood and Maid Marian! We'll be celebrating my birthday at DL too (we'll be there Oct. 22-26th)! :tigger:

We're trying to decide between Oct 7th - 10th or Oct 14th - 17th? I'm waiting for my sister & BIL to check their schedules. We'll do the MHT Party either the 8th or 15th. We're leaning toward Oct 14th, but I'm worried about crowds due to Columbus Day earlier in the week.

Hopefully we can snag a 2 bedroom villas at the Grand CA.

Our trip is slated for 10/14-10/18. I expect the "columbus day crowds" will be on the friday before and the weekend of. We're heading out on wednesday, just in case.

You can add us to the list. We are going to be at the HoJo from the 16th to the 25th. I hope to get Halloween party tickets for the 21st but I have to wait till they go on sale to the general public - oh, I so hope they don't all sell out for that date :wizard:

We'll be at Hojos during the same dates and are also going to the party on the 21st. I think you will be fine getting the tickets when they go on sale to the public. I'm not sure, but I don't think any days sold out before they went on sale to the public last year. I know that Fridays sold out first, and since the day that you want is Wednesday, I think you'll be okay. :)

Just bought tickets for the Trick or Treat party on the 15th. I didn't think we would make a Disneyland trip because we're really saving for a DisneyWorld vacation in summer 2010, but my husband took a student group to DL in April and they ended up with a few extra tickets. We can't let those extras go to waste, now can we:goodvibes

Trick or Treat
Oct 9 = Pezalicious
Oct 15 = toocherie; debdreamsofdis
Oct 21 = disneyfan4ever54; aussiegirls (maybe)
Oct 22 = mom2pirateNpooh; Oilergirl
Oct 23 = mechurchlady and Calvin

I have been run down since the Wednesday event so I am sorry that my threads are not caught up yet. I will try hard to night to scour the web for more information on closures, events, local non-Disney events, etc.

Looks like October through November are going to be busy.

Put me on the list for Oct 8-11! Have a ressie at Candy Cane Inn, but this is subject to change. I am very excited as have never been to DL during Halloween time. :woohoo: The video on the Disney website looks fabulous and am so looking forward to seeing the NBC overlay on the Haunted Mansion. So now I am going to pester you experts about this time of year. We will probably do the ToT party - any advice as to whether the 8th or the 9th is a better choice? Are most of the attractions open in DCA during the party or just some? What are your favorite aspects about this party? For those of you who have done DL in October, what can I expect about park hours? How about fireworks/ Fantasmic? Are these likely to be just on Fridays and Saturdays? This might affect when I do the Halloween party. Also if anyone has any links to trip reports made during October, I would love to read them! Thanks in advance for your help.

fireworks and Fantasmic are Disneyland and would not affect the Halloween event that will be in DCA. I would avoid weekends and Friday first but otherwise it is a controlled event with only so many tickets sold so it cannot get over crowded unlike 4th of July for example.

Whoops, maybe I need to be a little more clear in my question/ thought process. Thank you Mechurchlady for trying to help. I think that I get so excited about planning for an upcoming trip, that I fail to reread my posts through the eyes of someone outside of my head. I know that fireworks and Fantasmic are in DL and the party is in DCA. I also know that the fireworks are frequently cancelled due to winds. I have been on trips where I didn't get to see any fireworks as they were cancelled on both scheduled days(nights?) of my trip. So I usually try to see them at the earliest scheduled time in my visit so if they are cancelled, I can try to see them a later night. If it is unlikely that there would be fireworks/ Fanstasmic scheduled for Thursday Oct 8, then that would be a really good time to go to the party. I just dont know what to expect for nighttime entertainment schedules in Oct. How many fireworks are likely to be on the schedule for Thur-Sat night in mid- Oct? I hope this makes it clearer.

Probably no fireworks and Fantasmic but who knows with Disney. You can park hop if you have your event admission and Disneyland admission. I will post if they ever actually set in stone the schedule for DLR for October.

I am doing May, July, October and one other month and then October through March. I try to find stuff but DLR is stingy on giving advanced information, sigh.
