Yes, you are right. There are fireworks and Fantasmic on weekends in October. :-) I believe the above comment regarding no fireworks was about the question of whether or not there would be some on a Thursday.

We'll be doing the Trick or Treat on the 15th too. I am keeping my eye out waiting for the opportunity for non-AP people to buy the tix.

Well we took the plunge into DVC and will be staying at the Grand Cal Villas now - our kids are going to be very spoiled with DL and WDW trips. Freeing up a 2 bedroom at Carousel Inn.

When we have rented a car we usually go to costco it has been great to get fruit and water especially at the prices disney charges for water. But I do wonder what a cab would cost us to fullerton - I would take the bus but carrying a case of water and other stuff would not be a lot of fun.

I'm planning to get the Halloween tickets for Friday 10/30 and Saturday 10/31. I'm assuming that there would be different type of Halloween events at Disney California and Disneyland itself.....where we would spend the Friday 10/30 evening at Disney California and then at Disneyland itself on Saturday 10/31.

Will there be different events at both parks that make it worth it to get 2 seperate nights to spend at both parks?

The Halloween Trick or Treat ticketed event is just at DCA. Other than decorations I don't know of any event at DL.

Disneyland and DCA will be decorated for Halloween. DCA will have an after hours event for Halloween. There is nothing special going on in Disneyland. The Halloween tickets are only for one park, DCA.

I have not tried to buy tickets for the 30th and 31st but they are supposed to be only for sale at DLR ticket booths on the day of the event. Expect these two days to be the most crowded.

I am going on the 23rd of October. If you want to park hop then you will need the Halloween ticket for DCA and a separate Disneyland admission such as an AP, CM admission, one day ticket, and parkhopper tickets.

If all goes well this Sunday I'll have our reservation set for 10/14 - 10/17/09 in the new VGC wing and we'll attend the 10/15 Halloween Party.

Oh.....so there is Trick Or Treat at DCA....what do they have at DL itself?

Is it just decorations at DL that everyone can go to ( whereas DCA is just open to Event Ticket holders )?

Does DL stay open to the general public on that day then until closing time?

I thought that there would be seperate events at both parks. If there isn't anything special at DL that requires an Event Ticket, then is there anything special that we can expect?

Thanks for the explanation.....I was about to buy tickets for both Friday and Saturday. I will plan accordingly.

You might want to check the distance to the Garden Grove Costco I believe it might be closer.

Have a great time.

We did 10/30/07 and it did sell out. I had broke my elbow and had sinus surgery the month before our trip so my grown daughter had to join us to help with my nieces and nephew so I ended up buying her ticket on ebay about a month before the event.

Tickets for the 30th and the 31st can be bought ahead of time, but only at the "day of purchase price" meaning there is no discount if you buy ahead of time. The wording is very confusing on the DLR website, but tickets for those nights are definitely available now for AP holders and Disney Visa cardholders. They will be available for purchase (along with tickets for the other dates) when the tickets become available to the general public in August.

So any chance we will hear about ticket promotions for the fall any time soon...I'm waiting on buying tickets until closer to the date.

Also, upgraded my room at the hojo to a 7floor disney view:)
