October Check in - Halloween and more

Halloween sold out in advance I think, and one or two dates during the fall breaks which are earlier in October.

Last year non-AP Holders could buy tickets from August 1. The dates that sold out sold out after August by the way, so you should be safe.

For non-Season Ticket holders, is it too late to purchase tickets for Halloween at DL on Halloween day itself?

If the tickets for Halloween day sold out ahead of time again, then there wouldn't be any tickets available on that day for anyone. (I hope I'm reading your question right. )

Hi, I'm looking at going to the trick or treat party on the 28th and/or 29th. Can you do everything in 1 night or am i best to do it over 2 nights? Thanks

Depends on what your definition of "everything" is.

I spread everything out over two nights, but that included doing all photo stops twice (because characters switch), with the exception of Toy Story which I only did once and Playhouse Disney which I skipped.

Just another trivia question I am assuming that the electrical light parade will not be running during our stay Oct 16 - 21. Assuming we should plan on that weekend for parades, fireworks, fantasmic, trick/treat and that the M, T, W will close early and not have those entertainment events going on? First time going in Oct - we usualy do the Dec.

Somebody correct me if I am wrong here, but as far as I know the Electrical Light Parade is dark in October. It goes dark after Labor Day I think and returns for the Christmas season.

the event at DCA is separate from the Disneyland and daytime DCA tickets. Anyone can get into DL and DCA any day but to get into the event you need those tickets. You will be fine getting into Disneyland on Halloween but do get there early.

I finally caught up on sleep so this thread and my other check ins will be updated tonight instead of last night. 11 hours sleep is not normal for me.

Just know that it will be VERY crowded because DCA will only be open to people with "hard" tickets for the Trick or Treat party. Also, Disneyland won't have the "treat" stations like DCA will.

It is also my understanding that tickets for Oct. 31 for the Trick or Treat Party will not be on pre-sale, but will only be available at the gate. I imagine that line will be pretty darn long.

$26 Special Passholder Discount for These Dates: October 2, 8, 15, 21, 22, 28
$32 Regular Admission Price for These Dates: October 9, 16, 23, 29

Day-of-Event Ticket Prices
$39 If Purchased and Used on These Dates: October 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29
$42 If Purchased and Used on These Dates: October 30 and 31

From the way I read that it looks like October 30 and 31 are not going to be up for advanced sales. I may be confused on this matter but that is how I read the wording.

I feel that the wording on the availablity of the tickets for Halloween night is very confusing. If it's the same as last year, what it means is that there is no lower price (pre-purchase price) on tickets for Halloween night, and the tickets would be the same as the other "day of event" tickets, meaning that if someone buys the ticket the same day instead of ahead of time they will pay a higher price. I don't believe that they are selling those tickets (for Halloween night) only on that night. You just won't be able to get a pre-purchase price. Whenever you buy them, it would be the same as a "day of event" price......full price. I'm going to call Disney ticketing and check on this.

I am pretty sure there was the same wording and a similar confusion last year. I remember joking with my room mate about sending her to camp out for a pin that got released Halloween while I was going to camp for the tickets.

And then tickets went on sale online after all.

Okay.....I just got off the phone with DLR ticketing, and the conversaton was hysterical !....LOL. The CM stated that he agrees that the wording is very confusing and when I asked why it was worded that way he said "Because some idiot didn't know how to word it". I thought that was too funny! Anyway, yes, people CAN purchase those tickets ahead of time and Vala, it's exactly as you and I thought. There is no discount price for purchasing ahead of time.....the ticket price no matter when you buy it will be the same AS IF you were purchasing a "day of event" ticket.....full price. But it will be available before the event. Hope this clears everything up! You'd think they would have changed the wording from last year. I think this will cause a lot of confusion for a lot of people.

Tickets aren't on sale yet. They will go on sale on May 15th for annual passholders (and maybe Disney Visa cardholders.....not sure about that one yet) and probably sometime in August for the general public. So, I would order tickets as soon as they become available to you. Last year, Halloween night did sell out ahead of time, so I wouldn't wait until then. (Please see my posts above about my verifying with DLR that the tickets for Halloween night WILL be available for sale before that night).

I bought my ticket for the actual Halloween day on August 1 last year when the tickets went on general sale and I was fine.

Halloween will sell out, but it won't be a 2 minute Hannah Montana concert sell out.

We're heading down in October too (my husband, daughter and myself). We'll be there Oct. 22 - 26th and we'll be staying at The Anabella. My daughter and I are celebrating our birthdays. It'll be her first time ever at Disneyland! We're also meeting up with another couple there and their 3 little girls. I can't wait!!! I want to go to a Trick or Treat party while we're there too!

Disney Family will be going to DL in May for DS's Birthday. DW really wants to bring the kids to go to the Halloween Party as well....so I was pondering whether we should just get the Annual pass before the 15th....not only to take advantage of the benefits with an Annual pass ( since 3 trips would take care cover the cost of an Annual Pass )...but also to get the pre-sale for the Annual Passholders.

Is it worth it to do this?

How many tickets can Annual Passholders get?

The main thing is that I want to be sure that I get the Halloween tickets for that weekend.
