October AP Rates are out

I got back in but the time before it would time out when I tried to log in when booking.

Now I go back in and NO rooms at ANY value resort for my dates!!!

I'm so upset.

Ok not upset anymore. Called and got the ressie at Pop Century for 10/2-10/11 for 749.

Had ressie at movies for 10/3-10/11 for 850ish (AAA) - so that's good, extra day and less $!

We booked a YC water view room at $295 a night plus tax for 10/25 - 11/2.
Originally I wanted the BWI but nothing was available for my dates and I called at 7:25 am EST.
:)

I just called and checked the rates for the same exact stay and was told BC or YC for $295 standard view or $375 water view. You might want to call and check.

The AP rates listed are not that great at all. We were hoping to go 10/21-27 but our AP rate for july was better than these :O( Guess I'll call and give it a shot

I think that July is value season and October is regular season in most of the resort categories.

I just realized that the AP rate is only 17.25% off a deluxe (at least at the GF). That doesn't seem like much. Last year it was like 45% off. Yikes!

That is weird! It is 40% the moderates this time, which is pretty normal.

Can you get the AP code/discount if you don't have the AP yet? I was debating getting it instead of the DDP and buying the DDEcard...or whatever it's called. I would purchase it before we got to DW, just don't have it now. We haves a AAA ressie at CBR with DDP, but am re-thinking. How many rooms can I get with AP discount...they are all for my family...meaning my six children, two of whom recently married. We would need 4 rooms. Maybe that is not possible with the AP discount/code and I should just wait until tomorrow's VISA code is released. TIA for any help :goodvibes .

The CM didn't ask me for any info about my AP when I called. From what I've been told, you just need to have the AP (or the voucher for the AP) when you check in, or you'll be charged the rack rate.

How many rooms can I get with AP discount.
From what I have heard, you can get one room per adult who has an AP.

Hope that helps!

The CM I spoke to today said I could book 2 rooms but everyone has to checkin together......
I wanted 10-9 for 3 nights.....no rates at poly, CSR, or BCV or BWV.
I could have gotten CBR...not a preferred room.
Decided to keep my BWV with my DVC discount. I am paying 277...the AP rate for BWI was more than that:scared:
Kerri

POFQ standard view rack rate $165 pretax... ap rate $114 ends up being 30.9ish%. I got CSR Water view 11/8- 11/21 was 2739 now 2095. Every penny helps! I wish they would reverse the free dining program and have pay disney prices for food and resort room free!! :rotfl:

I got All Star Sports preferred room for October 7-13. I'm alittle sad because I couldn't get Pop preferred, they only had standard and Pop is HUGE so I didn't want to risk being far away from everything. :sad2:

Does anybody know if they released Pop preferred at all? I asked the CM but she said she had no way of knowing. If they released it all and its just booked up I can keep calling to see if its available.

Hey- I shouldn't be complaining- I am going for my birthday!!!! :thumbsup2 :cool1:

BTW, my rate with dining came to 1052.56.

I am going to Pop for 5 nights 10/17-10/22 and got the AP rate, save $5 per night over AAA quote

Then got 10/22-11/2 for CBR - not sure on exact savings, but even the CM was surprised how much it went down.

Every little bit helps especially with F&W events being released.

I had ASsports at rack for 99.00 (no tax) for one night before moving to our main resort. For some reason, I could not get the AP rate of 74.00 (no tax) even though the web site stated that my date is in the orange zone, thus 74.00. The site mentioned something about a possible restriction concerning minimal stays/ Friday Saturday stays, but they didn't mention what exactly the restriction was. Since I couldn't get ASsports for 74.00 like I wanted, I switched to CBR for a mere 114 (no tax), which is only $14 more than what I was originally paying for ASsports. :)

Well I got the Contemporary tower (Magic Kingdom View) Dec.20 for one nite 483.00. The rack rate was 698.00. Then we are off for a week at Boardwalk DVC.

Months ago, I tacked on two extra nights for the last portion of our trip. I had originally booked BC rack (ouch) at 370 pn standard view. I never get email pins or snail mail codes, EVER, but I wanted DGS to try SAB for his b-day trip.

Checking today, there are no AP standard rates at BC or YC for my dates. However, AP water view at BC/YC was 375. I am not one to pay more for views, but I'd rather have a water view at 375, than a standard view at 370. So it's water view for us. I will keep checking. If standard becomes available, I'll grab it.

Just got off the phone with CRO. Total bust for me. We're going to be there October 22-27 I checked availability for YC/BC, Poly and GF. No AP rates at all for those dates.

Luckily we have a group rate at BWI since DH is running the TOT 13K Race. I've never seen such a small release of AP rates.

The only availability they had for a party of 5 was at Saratoga Springs.

Better luck to you all.

Same thing we me, we booked at the BWI with the 40% off code and wanted to switch to the YC for the exact same dates but no luck. Thats ok I will stick with what I got.

I was able to reduce my one night at the AKL CL that I had to pay full rack rate for because that one night wasnt covered with the code dates. I saved over $60 plus taxes!

That's not right!! I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm still saving $75 per night on that room (and $39 per night from what we were originally booked at [Poly GV]), but it's only 17.25%, unless I did my math wrong (not my strong suit). :confused3 $360 from $435

Last year, we paid a little over $200 per night at BWI and got $75 dining card.

Those cabins are looking better and better for $224 (first 6 nights) and $239 (last two nights). I hear Fort Wilderness is a great place to be for Halloween too.

Decisions, decisions.

Any input?

I just got off the phone with CRO.First off I don't have an ap,but I was willing to buy one.Cro went through everything with me.We decided on the DDP, room at POR,3 adult 10 day passes,1 child 10 day pass,1 adult ap.It ended up being $300+ over our original price. How can that be?She was surprised as well.I guess I'll just wait for the general public rate and see if it will help.

Hope you all have better luck than myself.

Were you originally booked with the DDP? It's not cheap. We've found we save more with the DDE card.

We hadn't booked DDP yet because of money, but we were planning on it.That is the thing DD12 is looking forward to most. She doesn't eat much, but wants the most expensive thing on the menu. It's our way of not hurting her.:rotfl2: We probably wont get back there for many years. We live in Utah and are much closer to Disneyland.(and we love it there besides)

Thank you for your suggestion.
