Hey Rellyrooly! As for considering a job with the CIA, after court reporter that was my next choice! LOL j/k about that, but funnily enough my mom was a secretary for the CIA 100 years before I was born in DC and South America. She claims she can't remember anything interesting about it. That has always sounded fishy to me!
;)

As for the BOO! Micky pumpkin, check your PM box. :cutie:
Lauren-

You are one lucky (and slick!) girl! How you haven't gotten busted.....
Have you ever considered a job with the CIA? LOL

BTW, What is the boo thingie? Is it like the boo'ed you get on your door at Halloween? I have been seeing it more and more here but never saw it before....

I'll try for the chat, but y'all know I'm trying to keep everything on the QT so we'll see. Sometimes DH goes to bed early on Sundays.

For Pirate night we're just wearing pirate t-shirts from Target. I thought about changing a wench costume and all of that around too but we just don't have enough luggage for one more outfit! LOL Plus shoes, got to have pirate shoes to go with the pirate outfit. And maybe a pirate hat too. See what happens? LOL A t-shirt is better for us.

As for taking your kids out of school, my dad took me out of school in the eighth grade once for a week. We drove from Atlanta all the way to Key West just the two of us. We stopped off wherever we wanted. Hey, Laura, we didn't even have a plan! ;) It was a great memory that I have of just the two of us. Plus, I can always tell him I could have gotten into Harvard if it weren't for him just having to take me out of school! Y'all aren't bad parents. School is important, but family memories are what you hold on to for the rest of your life. :grouphug:

For my DH's costume (and sadly he will be wearing the same one from last cruise) consists of cut off sweat pants and a hand painted tee shirt..

us last cruise.. Everyone will be different this year...

DisneyCruisePiratePicture-1.jpg

The rest of us.... spent more on our pirate outfits than our Formal Outfits :lmao:

And I think my friends have convinced me to wear my beloved chicken hat, it's worth the 1/2 a suitcase it takes up... Here is a picture from my Birthday last year when the hat made it's debute...

IMGA0284.jpg

But then again I could - chicken - out and not wear it. it is an event in itself.

TO CHAT>>> Look at the menu bar at the top of the page (in this fourm it should be red and blue, unless you have the default set to something else lol) but it reads across... UsedCP Chat News Community Photos FAQ etc... Click on the CHAT BUTTON and see if it works for you. I think you need the lastest in flash for it to work, but try it first, then post issues if you have them, and I will see if I can help.

We have purchased pirate costumes for our family - so we will be in full pirate attire. Strangely enough this was the easiest thing to get DH to agree on this year:rotfl:

I have all the clothes laid out on the treadmill in piles. Guess I won't be using that treadmill for the next week:rotfl2: I have pulled out the suitcase and plan to start filling them today:cool1:

We are all gettting very excited and the official countdown as begun at our house. The kids received a postcard from Mickey and Minnie (thank you postcard thread) this week -- that really helped set the mood. Although I think I was just as excited as the kids :goodvibes Looks like we are almost ready to go - just need those important cruise documents. I keep checking, but no lucky yet:confused3

for the pirate party, DH & DS will be wearing pirate t-shirts and black jeans, i just have black capris and a black & white top with ruffle sleeves, and we are calling that good enough.

A question for anyone who has already received their buttons, I forgot to order them, If I order them today do you think I will have time to receive them before we leave on the 4th?

Also, through a series of events ( not all good ones) we now may have a chance to leave early enough on Thursday so that we will be able to go to the Halloween Party on Friday night. We are still trying to work that all out. Need to find out if tickets are still available and see if we cancel the rooms at the port and find rooms close to Disney. We were at the party last year and are very excited to be able to go again. After the week we have had, this vacation can not come soon enough:goodvibes

We ordered ours on the 20th. It says they are 'in production'. Once done, standard shipping is 4-7 biz days. I expect that with expidited shipping they should be there in time.

We ordered our buttons last Sunday night, they shipped Tuesday and I got them yesterday in Missouri. You've got enough time, I had actually thought about making another order myself.

Boy, am I the only one that had trouble with disboards tonight? I could not get page 87 to load for me. It would crash everytime..frustrating. :confused3
Oh well, it seems to be under control now. I got to read it but everytime I scroll I am afraid it will crash on me.

party: :welcome: party: :welcome: To all the new cruisers...so glad for all of you to join. We have so much planned! Yeah, it's true...we have alot of obsessive planners here! So the more the merrier! :cool1: :yay:
I still have to get the packing list finalized. Need to get the budget caught up..trying to keep things under control..OK..OK I admit it I am already out of control. Already finding so many little things to get. Found some eye patches and earrings at Walmart for a buck. Picked up 5 for my whole group. Couldn't pass it up. Of course, after Halloween it will cost cents...oh well, I can't wait that long. Now, I am thinking about getting contacts so I can snorkel. Blind as a bat without my glasses...:cool2: Not sure if I have time for that one..but I should at least check it out.

Hope everyone is holding it together..we are getting close to time to go and things will probably sneak up on us.. Gotta stop mail, make sure all bills will be paid that are due that week..hmmm, what else?

As far as taking kids out of school, yes, I too am a bad parent. I am taking a 4th grader and a 10th grader out...but hey, it's the first time..so it's not a bad habit just temporary insanity. But the cost of DCL during summer and school breaks..:scared1: I can't swing it! Only live once and I don't plan on regretting it. Not a hard think..:cutie:

You're making me feel better - I'm taking out a 5th grader and kindergartener - whew! I agree - I looked at the summer cruise prices and compared to what I can get for October I'm doing it.

I'm really bad - I'm looking at Med cruises in 2009 that go to Egypt and Greece in January. Wish Disney went there!

I have been pulling together outfits of mine... and a few things of the kids I know they wont miss over the next two weeks.

oh yes, I am getting excited.

on my dress for Formal night and on my swimsuit.

I've lost 15 pounds and am too cheap to buy a new swimsuit since we aren't big beach or pool folks. I think the last time I wore it was on a cruise to Alaska last year so I just took an extra little bit out of the sides and tightened the straps. Dress was just a hem change so no biggie.

Got the clothes folded today and am going to start collecting the ones we plan to take with us tomorrow. Got to check DH's sport coat to be sure it doesn't need a trip to the cleaners - but since Formal night isn't till Monday, I may just send it on board - aren't I terrible? :lmao:

I have one more skirt to shorten. Some of the cute things look dowdy when they come down almost to the ankles - I'm only 5" 2 1/2 so proportion is critical. Somehow the Mid-calf skirts just seem to look strange - like you're expecting an additional 6 inches of leg! Hopefully that one won't be too much of a problem.

Still trying to figure out Pirate night - the Pirate Ts sound like a great idea. I think I'll drag DH by Target on the way home from Church tomorrow.

Sorry if I'm babbling. I'm waiting on a process to finish on my work computer so I can get something done and go to bed. Boards are a great time waster while you wait on computers to finish stuff.

:goodvibes here i am again, can't sleep. :confused3 don't know if it's excitement, something i ate, or meds. it'll all be better tomorrow.:rotfl: MAYBE so i thought i gabber a bit. trying to get some more sewing done. got bored so here i am, back to chat. that's one nice thing about living alone, i can do what ever feels best, and i don't bother anyone. i think i have enough outfits, but pirate outfit, need to touch that up. DD got a few odds and ends to help, need a little more imagination input to finish it off.  have to got moving, not much ime to figure out what to do with that. been checking the boards, lots of good ideas flowing there.:thumbsup2 well maybe i can hit the sack now, pretty quiet around here.:rolleyes1 talk later when the rest of the world wakes up:rolleyes1 oh wow, how did that pumpkin mickey get there. yippee, i'm in the flow!! thanks whoever helped me. i really tried. appreciate you all.:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: everyone

Rdy2b - my goodness I hope you got some sleep! Or, maybe I wish I had your energy!! :) Well, I finally bit the bullet yesterday and bought DH the Jack Sparrow costume - UGG! That is all the poor man wanted to I was starting to feel a bit guilty for not getting it for him. Todays challenge? Getting my two boxes ready to ship! Anyone else shipping boxes? I need some assurance that this is going to work.......

Gotta run - kids are stirring and we are off to church! Talk to you all soon - have a super day!

Ok OK,I admit it..I went in and fixed Mom's pumpkin mickey. I felt sorry for her and just wanted to help. She did try so hard to get it. :surfweb: It can be difficult to work that stuff.. So now she can start sending mickeys to other people..GO Mom GO!:rotfl2:

Woo Hoo......we just managed to snag a pair of connecting rooms!!!! :cool1:

Just happened to be calling DCL about a different matter, and noticed that a pair were available - talked with the CC CM and she moved us over.

Laura - here's the new entry for us for the 'Master List/Stateroom Tour'

:cool1: :cool1: 12 days to go people!:cool1: :cool1:

Wow has time gone fast. We have been so busy. Especialy this weekend , my son's 13th birthday is today :bday: and we have been celebrating all weekend.party: Friday we had a sleep over ( sleep!! LOL) 8 boys taking over the house playing video games on the big screen with the surround sound as loud as they could stand it.:scared1: DH and I barricaded ourselves into the back room and let the have the rest of the house. He is sleeping in this morning so it has giving me a chance to catch up on all the going ons. :surfweb:

To all those concerned about our travel through Atlanta on Friday; Thanks. We live about a 1 1/2 hrs. north of Atlanta in Ringgold, so we are all to familiar with hecktic Atlanta traffic. I really hope that we can arrange an earlier departure, maybe around lunch time. We are traveling with my sister and her husband, so we have to check and make sure they can leave a bit earlier. Maybe then we can make to Port Can. that night and sleep later the next morning.:cloud9:

Rememeber in 12 days : KEY WEST:dance3:

Fins up indeed, however not just in Key West. There is Margaritaville fun to be had in Grand Cayman and Cozumel also.
