Hey Ms. Bearz

Can you PM me about baskets. I tried to send a PM but the system wouldn't let me.

Thanks

Mr. Ham

Rdy2bpampered- yes we are not too far from each other! I went to college in Oxford OH so I was even closer then. My brother went to Columbus OH for his undergrad and then to Kettering. We went to the Air & Space Museum this year with the kids. We are not flying-we decided to drive down and visit the space center at Cape Canaveral and on our way back, break it up with a visit to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville NC. It will be quite the roadtrip with the kids being so young- 4yrs and 2yrs but we will manage with Disney movies all the way down!

Wifeofgrumpy- we are interested in sharing a ride to the Boatswains Beach. How many are in your party? The park looks wonderful- we decided to spend money on our excursions as you can see instead of on our flight down. Hopefully we wont regret it! Kids can be so unpredictible in long rides.

We have 3 in our party, dh, dd (she's 11), and myself. I think we might end up with a bunch of people visiting Boatwains. I think your children will really enjoy the turtles, we visited the turtles when my daughter was six, we all loved it.

Midwest... My advice is to run around at rest stops as much as you can. Bring bubbles and such. It's amazing how refreshed we all felt after just running around and being crazy for 20minutes lol

Gosh... two weeks from tomorrow... WOW I am in shock!

For the gift baskets from Shirley you need to go to www.theperfectgift.cc the phone number is listed there.

And I wonder why you can't PM... hmmmm

EDITED TO ADD... my PM box was full SOOOO SORRY I have cleared it now :-) and I sent you a PM too

You're hitting Atlanta traffic at 3:30 on a Friday? :scared1: You need more than crossed fingers and Pixie Dust my friend, you need Jesus!

I'm from Atlanta. I don't know if you are too, in which case I'm sure you're already praying to the traffic Gods, but if you're not I would do almost anything to avoid Atlanta. I would take a nap and leave later, like seven. I would leave much ealier, like noon. I would find a route out in the country that added an hour or so to my trip and take that. Traffic on Fridays in Atlanta is a horror story. It starts at 1:30 and ends at 7:00. Spare yourself if you can at all do it. If not bring patience. And don't drink anything because there will be no good place for bathroom breaks once you're in it.

I don't know where you're coming from or if you're from there. But seriously look at routes, depending on where you're leaving from, through Alabama or take 75 to 285 to 675 (I think it's 675 it's 6 something) around the city. You can also try 75 to 285 over to 20 to I think it's 314, I would have look. That will drop you out at bottom on Highway 16. You'll go east to Savannah (where I am now) and then pick up 95 the rest of the way. If I had a bigger house, y'all could stay here. Keep in mind that at 3:00 to 7:00 all of those routes are going to be bad, but going through the city is usually suicide on a Friday.

Good luck and I'll keep the faith for you!

Yes, it is official we received our docs today!
Let the count down begin. :hourglass We will be leaving at 3:00 Friday, headed south on I-75, in a loaded down Tahoe, full of anxious cruisers. If luck is with us and Atlanta traffic is smooth,(keep your fingers crossed) we should make it to the GA/Fla. state line before 11:00 to get a sleepless nights rest:cloud9: .( I know all of you will get a good nights rest that night ) LOL.:lmao: We then plan on arriving at Port Can. around 10:30 and to meet up with the rest of our family.:grouphug: At least that is the plan for now,(we all know how those well thought out plans turn out, don't we):sad2:

Mr. Ham-

I want to add (and I am sure that Laura will agree) that the Perfect Gift website DOESN'T do their gift baskets justice. There are not alot of pics on there of all the options, as they are really endless. They will ask you what you are looking for and you can customize as much as you like. For example, the wine basket that I ordered for my DH will contain his favorite wine which they don't carry, but are willing to go get for me from a liquor store. She said "If they can find it, she'll get it for me." How nice is that!?

THIS IS MY 100th POST!
WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO

It took me long enough...lol

I second Atlanta Traffic...

Woot for 100 posts!!! And it's VERY TRUE Shirley's site does not do her justice. Start off with how much you want to spend and go from there :lmao:

And hot off the presses... I got our DOCS!!!! My hand hurts from filling out all the bahamian forms... times like this I dread our 11 letter last name!!

Also our luggage tags are LIME GREEN!!!! :cool1: They sent 20 stickers... should I use them all?? :lmao:

I am in FULL gathering mode... I have all our oufits for embarkation set aside.. I will be in a little lime green number, and bought a lovely lime green rolling cooler, so I should easy to spot... Oh did I mention the lime green in my hair??? (and blue, purple, orange and pink)

Against lime green hair - unless you're talking about ribbons or some type of hair ORNAMENT.

You definitely make the boards fun to read. Now I have to get creative to make some door signs that will be fun, but won't embarrass the fool out of DH and the rest. Sometimes I have a very conservative family - and sometimes NOT. It's just kinda hard to figure out what they'll go along with.

TWO WEEKS and we'll be in Orlando ON VACATION.

Well, I guess some laws were meant to be broken...

Life is too short to have one color hair :dance3:

Ding ding ding!!! Woot woot woot!

UPS man just delivered the Tix & baggage tags :cool1:

We got our cruise docs today too!:cool1:

So....I have to fill out those Bahamas forms? Are we going to the Bahamas? You would think at this point I would know where the ship is going but apparently I do not!:rotfl2:

On the bright side I didn't throw them away!:upsidedow

And when I get to the port the ship is the one that says what on it exactly? Starts with an "M" I think?

Ok EVERYONE!!! I think we need a CRUISE CHAT!!! The Disboard's even provide a chat room for cruisers to chat about their upcoming cruise. If you look above, next to the User CP, there is a Chat button. Click that and it shows you different rooms, scroll down and bit and you will see the Cruise Chat room. I am pretty sure you need flash to run it.

Now to pick a time!!! I can make just about any time, day or night... I would like to pick a day and time within the next few days though...

Also, anytime you see someone's little green light on (bottom left corner) it means they are logged into the dis.. (unless they chose to block that info) I am always logged in, but often I go afk, but if anyone wants to chat anytime, just send me a pm.

Sooooooooo what time is good for you all?

Yeah and Boo ................ DD and Dsis got documents today   .................... Me and DW are still waiting :headache: :scared:

We're really going. Now if I can just get the laundry folded and the assignments for my graduate class completed and work will slow down - I MIGHT have time to pack.

It doesn't matter - On October 5, were outta here...Ready or not, Orlanod here we come.

   Good for you!

I ordered our buttons today!

So glad everyone got docs. It's so exciting! I actually had to throw ours behind the sofa in a sleek move I'm sure has been used on a spy show somewhere :lmao: When the DH came home unexpectedly for lunch and I was sitting on the sofa filling them out. I'm just sooo smooth! LOL

Lauren-

You are one lucky (and slick!) girl! How you haven't gotten busted.....
Have you ever considered a job with the CIA? LOL

BTW, What is the boo thingie? Is it like the boo'ed you get on your door at Halloween? I have been seeing it more and more here but never saw it before....

No docs here yet, sniff sniff:sad1: :sad2: :sad1: :sad2: :sad1: :sad2: :sad1:

The UPS man came already today and rang my bell and I literally almost attacked him and bounced out the door and said "Just the guy I wanted to see!" and he looked at me (like I was a stalker) and said "Oh, thanks, I think" at which point I looked at what he was carrying and it wasn't our docs (just some hair conditioner I ordered which doesn't make me nearly as happy) and I said "Oh, maybe not" with a growl. I think I may never see him again because he may be too scared to come here now. LOL

Oh well, there's always tomorrow...

As far as a chat is concerned I think you should just set a time and hope folks show up. You'll never be able to accommodate everyone.

Mind you, 4:00 A.M EDT on a Tuesday may not get as many folks at 9:00 P.M. EDT on a Thursday.

Castaway Cay is in the Bahama's :-)

As long as I don't have to get up at 6 a.m. and go be inspected by the authorities like they do on the Eastern cruise.

I thought Disney just owned the island so it was now the Republic of Disney or something. Guess not!

As for the chat - I'm fairly open. A Sunday night chat good for anyone? 8pm works best for me (that is Eastern time though). Too early for some? At the diabetes board I belong to they usually do 9pm Eastern chats.
