My FE's are almost done, I am so excited, they are turning out sooo cute! Are we posting pics of them yet (Not the gifts, just the Extender)? I still need to come up with something for the gifts, it is OK to bring food (I.E. Candy) on board, right?
I am also trying to put together some of the clothes we will be bringing, since we are in NY I am changing over the closet to "cool weather clothes" so as I go through summer clothes I put the ones I want for the cruise aside!!
I think this is the earliest I have ever started packing for a vacation but I just dont want to forget anything!!
Thanks everyone for all the tips and suggestions, they are all appreciated! 5 weeks right? We will be leaving the Wed or Thurs. before since we drive and we will be staying with family friends in Daytona for Friday night.

I have been working on FE gifts today! Should be done with them by tomorrow. Then waiting for some items that I ordered and they will be done ! YAHOO!!! Hope to have magnets and iron-transfers this week so we can get shirts made by next week.

Told the kids to start pulling out clothes that they want for the cruise that they do not think they will wear between now and then.

5 weeks today. Better go log in and watch the Magic pull out of port shortly.

Does anyone know when Daylight Savings Time ends? Will we be adjusting our watches on the ship? And if so, does this time change go seemlessly?

Time changes at 2 AM on Sunday morning. That means that we get an extra hour aboard the ship.

And, yes, you will be adjusting your watches and clocks on the ship each time we enter or reenter a different time zone.

I was wondering if anyone has the late seating for dinner? If so, is there a way to request table guest instead of just sitting with strangers. I don't mind that but if we knew someone, I think dinners would be a lot more fun.

Children’s Day starts at Noon and goes till 5:00. In addition to the food and game booths there are also rides. We have the Titanic Slide, the Tubs of Fun, The Bungee Jump and several others. The costume contest starts at 1:00 and the little ones go first. Also the Key West High School Band, Conchettes, Cheerleaders perform as well as other dance groups from the community.

We had late dining last year, and originally, we had it this year. It worked fine for us last year, but my 13 year old wanted to do dinner at the same time that the clubs eat. That way, he wouldn't miss as much. So, concierge switched it for me.

I did that last year, booked this one without having done the first.

The Panama will be very cool but I don't think even I can be on a ship that many nights and I dont want to use up all my vacation at one time..

I was going to book Alaska but DCL's prices are outrageous considering they aren't even going to the Glaciers which is the whole point of cruising Alaska in my opinion. My quote is almost $6000 for the same room we have on this 7 day and we haven't even gotten airfare or hotels worked into that and for that money I can do at least 2 if not three of other vacations. We are going to look at other cruise line for Alaska and maybe do a Eastern in 2011. We just haven't decide when yet.

I really, really, really hope that Toy Stroy 1 and 2 in 3D will be on our ship. I would love to get more confirmation on this since it is only in the theaters for 2 weeks. I just spent $42 for a family of 4 to see "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs" in 3d. I had sticker shock paying that amount. I want to see the Toy Story movies, but $42 again will break the bank, not to mention the kids can't sit through a double feature.

You actually need to upload it to a site like Photobucket (free registration and hosting). Then, copy and paste the IMG code in your post on here.

Great idea on changing the clocks first. We'll have to change ours on Wednesday morning before we leave. That's *4* weeks from tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Yeah, if you want to make sure you see it, go as soon as it comes out. I want to make sure Jaydin sees the TS movies, so we'll go before the cruise. There are several others that I'd like to see, but I will wait to see them on the ship.

Oh ... for any that have not seen Bolt ... it is a great movie. We saw it the night before it premiered for free (pre-screening) and loved, loved, loved it.

I looked at the same room I am in, for the same number of people, with the same options. The difference between our 2009 and the 2011 was only $90.
That does not seem like a huge increase to me. I don't think I did anything wrong.

Anyone else seeing similar pricing?

Thinking about booking it now, but not sure. I want to snag that room but also want the 10% by booking on line. Not 100% sure about the room, haven't been it in yet (1 month to go)

I believe the prices that everyone was referring to was the prices to book the Alaska Cruise trips that have just been added to the schedule for summer of 2011.

Someone just posted that they are leaving on the 10/22 cruise and they got their documents yesterday. We are the week after them so we should be a week behind.
