Hey guys, great chat last night. Wonderful packing ideas and hints were shared. Jen I beleive captured them and will be sending me a recap to put up on the website.

I did forget one other tip which was awesome to use last year. Make up some "business cards" for yourself, your kids, your family so when you meet someone on the ship that you want to stay in contact with you can just exchange your cards. Include your email address, family blog, etc.. Whatever you are willing to share. The one thing not in abundance on the ship for quick availability is paper and pen. That is because they dont want it flying into the ocean so these are nice to have in your pocket or day bag. If your kids have email, make them a few for their new friends in the clubs. They think its so cool to hand out their cards on that last day hehehe

Also, I posted about my box question on the main boards and they said it was okay. I also asked about the luggage tags and was told that that should be okay.

For those not in chat and who are driving to Port Canaveral, I wanted to know if instead of shipping a box to the ship if I could check it in with my luggage.

As for the luggage tags I was asking if I could copy and print extras on a color printer on sticker paper and attach to my luggage versus having to hunt for them when you arrive at the port (you only get 2 per person and we will have at least 5 suitcases).

Wow! That is good to know. I am glad I can just check the box I am sending to my MIL instead of repacking.

Just have to share. I diverted a major meltdown. I got a call from my daughter's best friend: she has an extra ticket to the Miley Cyrus concert and wants her to go. This will be her first concert and I was so excited for her. I get off the phone and tell her the great news. As the words were coming out my mouth, tears were coming out of my son's eyes. He loves Miley Cyrus too. Thankfully the concert was not sold out, so Miley here we come on October 9. October is my Disney month.

All, in case you didn't realize, our cruise is over election day. Please start the process on your end to get the forms so you can use an absentee ballot.
If you don't vote, you lose your right to complain. (and boy do I love to complain)

LOL! Well .... we will be formal-less, except for - possibly - Jonah. LOL!! He will be wearing a tux if he has anything to do with it.We're going to have a BLAST!!!!

I wish I knew my rotation! If we are in Lumiers on formal night we'll be dressing up. I loved the food there last time! They had some type of scallop dish that I hope they still serve!

Wow I'm surprised the concert wasn't sold out! Alicia loves her! Kierra not so much. Have fun!

That is great. I had the same issue couple of years ago. My DS wanted to go, but we told him you had to be 10 to go to a concert.

In fact, we were on the Disney cruise when we gave DD the tickets. well, pictures of the tickets, was not about to take them on a cruise ship with us.

There is internet in many of the staterooms. It's also all around the ship and in several of the lounges. I had no issues getting it in my stateroom last time. You DO have to pay for it, though.

My FE's are almost done, I am so excited, they are turning out sooo cute! Are we posting pics of them yet (Not the gifts, just the Extender)? I still need to come up with something for the gifts, it is OK to bring food (I.E. Candy) on board, right?
I am also trying to put together some of the clothes we will be bringing, since we are in NY I am changing over the closet to "cool weather clothes" so as I go through summer clothes I put the ones I want for the cruise aside!!
I think this is the earliest I have ever started packing for a vacation but I just dont want to forget anything!!
Thanks everyone for all the tips and suggestions, they are all appreciated! 5 weeks right? We will be leaving the Wed or Thurs. before since we drive and we will be staying with family friends in Daytona for Friday night.

I have been working on FE gifts today! Should be done with them by tomorrow. Then waiting for some items that I ordered and they will be done ! YAHOO!!! Hope to have magnets and iron-transfers this week so we can get shirts made by next week.

Told the kids to start pulling out clothes that they want for the cruise that they do not think they will wear between now and then.

5 weeks today. Better go log in and watch the Magic pull out of port shortly.

Clocks change Halloween night/Sunday morning. I also read there is a time change in Cozumel and you have to pay close attention to the time and adjust one watch at least if you are going out on your own as the ship departs on local time, DCL excursions aren't an issue.

Clock balancing should be interesting but hey, we are on vacation so I can take a nap

Sorry I have missed all of the chats. I wish I could catch up with everyone then but...too many things are getting in my way (school, computer at home is broken, etc...).

I was wondering if anyone has the late seating for dinner? If so, is there a way to request table guest instead of just sitting with strangers. I don't mind that but if we knew someone, I think dinners would be a lot more fun.

I have a crazy few weeks ahead with work to get ready for the trip! It's so exciting!
