Jeff, dude ... you stress too much!!! Make sure you have the essentials. Everything else is just topping on the cake. Make it fun, and don't let it make the beginning of the trip so rough. It's just not worth it!!



I'm all about enjoying my trip - no matter what I forget. LOL!!

I think Eric and I discussed this on the chat...but friends of ours went on Carnival out of Baltimore this summer and she called me from the ship and said she forgot to pack underwear! She checked the stores onboard and at the ports and could not find any. Point of the story...make sure underwear is on the essential list.

I thought the same thing. Carnivals private island, Grand Turk and Bahamas. I guess if you do not know where to go, it is hard to get there...??? Lots of handwashing was going on in the cabin.

Hubby, DD(5 1/2) DS(almost 4) DS(almost 2), Papa and Nana and myself will be on this sailing and are soooo excited about it. I just wanted to introduce us and see if anyone can help me get on the FE list. I can not do PM's b/c I have not done 10 postings If someone could contact me that would be wonderful!!! Can't wait to get to know you guys!!
BTW, we live in NY, my parents are in FL... and we are super Disney fans!!!

The latest update from our house is that John and I will be at the Radisson the night before the cruise and we are back on the 10:00 am shuttle..

The bad news is Brian and Kailynn are not joining us for the cruise.. Work requirements have popped up for Brian making it impossible to go and Kailynn didn't want to cruise without him.. This has completely bummed me out as I wanted nothing more than to spend a week with them, now that they are on their own, building a life together you don't get to many of these chances.. I am hoping we can all do something together soon.

If anyone wants a Cat 11 Sideway on Deck 6 it's available as of tonite..

I'm having a hard time finding reasonable airfare!! I usually fly southwest and don't mind their cattle call ways because their prices are so good and you don't pay for your bags, but they are actually unreasonable now!

I fly out of Philly. I don't know if I should go with another airline or just sit and troll the southwest website taking a chance and hoping that their fares will drop. What did you do? What are you flying?

Ok, I just decided to bite the bullet and pay through the nose for airfare because I'm tired of worrying about it and I want to be done with it!! I have Southwest down to MCO out of Philly on Oct. 30 and Airtran back to Philly on Nov. 7.

Is anyone staying the night before at the Hyatt at MCO? I'm considering it. What are your night before hotel plans and what transportation are you using?

We're staying at the Radisson at the Port. We're driving down on the 28th, so I can't help you with the transportation plans!


Come stay at the Radisson with a bunch of us. We're even planning a meet-n-greet there that night!

We are flying out on Southwest also on the 30th out of Philly. Our flight leaves at I believe either 5:15 or 6:15 pm. I do not have access to my flght files right now, but i belive we arrive at 8:15 or so at MCO. We have reserved a car for one day through Avis to return in the morning in Cape Canaveral on Saturday. We are staying at the Radison On Friday night, as are a good number of our fellow Halloween Haunts Cruisers. We have reservations on Radisons shuttle for 10:00 am to the terminal. We will be fling home on Sunday from Tampa on SW after vising friends on the Gulf Coast!

We are staying at the Hyatt the night before. We leave out of White Plains, NY close to 9pm and arrive right before midnight. Too late to drive out to Radisson near the port for us. We are taking the Disney transportation the next day.
