Where are we eating??

Boma, Jiko, Sanaa, Rose & Crown Pub, Le Cellier, Yak & Yeti, Sci Fi Dine In, Kona Cafe (twice), Crystal Palace, Beaches and Cream, Earl of Sandwich, Food and Wine Festival Booths and Yakitori House.

Oh. We are also eating at Cracker Barrel and in our DVC one-bedroom villa.

I should have the lanyards in hand by September 1. I will then put in the name badges and send the lanyards to all that have paid.

Just wanted to keep everyone updated so that you would know if I had received your payment.

We're getting so close!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

ok - so normally I complain when I see stores putting out decorations and stuff way to early before the holiday. Like seeing Valentine's stuff on December 26th. But today, I saw Halloween candy. And I thought, TOO COOL, if they are putting out Halloween candy, it must mean we are close (or close enough!!!)

Shelly - Sorry, I keep forgetting to send you the money for the Lanyards. I promise I will send it soon (after a few more beatings to my head)
As for you getting them on Sept 1st, the NJ pre cruise meet is set for the 12th. If you get them in time, to save on shipping maybe for the people going to the meet, you could send them all to one family, and we can give them out then.

Yes, it IS getting close. Exciting, isn't it?? :) :dance3:

No worries, Jeff. It was just an update and gentle reminder. I also put it out there because there some that we've not heard from on the thread since they asked to be added to the lanyard list. I have ordered them lanyards, but I'm not sending them until I have payment. Know what I mean?

I would love to do that, but I can't guarantee that I will have the name badges ready and added to the lanyards by that point. I don't know the size of the pockets on the lanyards, so I can't do the name badges before I have the items in hand.

Attention Cruisers

As we all know we are extending invitations to participate in the FE Exchange through Tuesday September 15th. After that the participation list closes (unless a majority of the participants wish to extend the date).

There are several families which have signed up to participate but have not posted on the boards for quite awhile that they are still cruising with us and that they still wish to participate. The idea of the FE is to do this with the cruise mates you have become friends with and bonded with over time on this board. So with that in mind, I am asking that everyone who has signed up to participate, at your convenience please review the listing on the website and PM a confirmation that you wish to continue to participate. Seeing as we are exactly one month from the FE cut-off date and under 80 days of sailing, I would assume that over the next 30 days decisions on participation will be made.

On Sept 15th when we close the FE sign up, we will be removing anyone from the listing that has not confirmed. I think this is the only fair way to do this as we don’t want to be shopping and crafting for higher numbers than are participating.

I have gone ahead and placed confirmations on those that I remember via chats and here on the boards have confirmed numerous times that they are doing it. If I forgot someone please forgive me ;)

Any questions let me know

Oh yea... HAPPY SATURDAY... 11 Weeks!!!.

We (myself, DW and DS(4)) are booked on the cruise on 10/31. We have a Cat 11 on Deck 6. We have been to WDW many, many times times since moving to the Tampa Bay area in 1999 plus countless daytrips, and have been on DCL once, the 7-night Eastern in Dec, 2001 (also Cat 11, Deck 7). Our DD (18) was with us on that one, but will be in college this time, but DS (currently 4) is looking forward to the experience. We are staying at POR the night before and the night after to stretch out the experience a little and save the 2 1/2 to 3 hour drive back home directly from DCL (can you say, "culture shock?"), but are a little bummed that MNSSHP is not occuring on the 30th. So, we are hoping for some action (trick-or-treat type) on ship on All Hallow's Eve.

Welcome!! We have an awesome group of cruisers here and would love for you to join us on our chats. Our adult chats are on Sunday nights at 8. If you'd like more information, let Renysmom or me know. We'd also love for you to join our FE list and to plan to be at our 3 PM meet-n-greet on the ship on the 31st.

I am traveling with my dh, ds (13), and dd (4) on this cruise. I, too, have an 18 year old (ds), but he will be at boot camp becoming a US Marine. :)

I look forward to meeting you on the chat and/or on the ship!!

****To all -
Oh - there are definitely plans for Halloween on the ship.

Here's the letter I received from concierge on Friday (meant to post it sooner!!! Sorry - migraine and family gathering). I would suspect that this is the letter (or close to it) that we will all be receiving in our cruise documents.

Thank you for choosing Disney Cruise Line. We look forward to sailing with you this fall during Halloween and have planned several “spooktacular” events that will be taking place onboard.

During your voyage, we will host themed events for all ages and feature Trick-or-Treating throughout the ship. Though not required, we encourage Guests of all ages to bring along their costumes for these special events. There will be a costume contest on one evening with prizes being awarded based on the following categories:

Funniest

Best Group

Most Spooky

Most Original

Most Disney

More information on themed party dates, times and locations will be available onboard in the Personal Navigator that will be delivered to your stateroom. All Guests are invited to wear costumes, however, we ask that you choose costumes which are not obstructive or offensive. To avoid any disappointment or delay in your boarding process, we ask that when considering costume options you refrain from bringing toys or props that resemble guns, knives or other related implements, as these items will not be allowed onboard.

Again, we look forward to sailing with you and hope you have a magical cruise.

Sincerely,

The Cast and Crew of Disney Cruise Line

Buzz -

Glad you saw my posting to you on the other thread and that you decided to join us here. Welcome. Let us know if you have any questions.

Kristen:

The first thing that I would do is familiarize yourself with the www.disneycruise.com website.

I would make sure that you are registered with the website prior to Sunday night. If you are I would login and choose the option that shows already registered. One you do the screen will change and there is a screen that asks for you reservation number and birthdate.

enter them and you will then access mycruise section of the website. On the left there will be a buch of options listed. Scroll over them and they will describe what each title will allow you to do. Access the one for booking excursions, dining and kid clubs.

On that screen there should be 4 buttons excursions, dining, spa, and in believe nursery. If you have not reached your booking window they will be greyed out. Once Monday rolls around they will be colorized and then you can click on what you want to book. Each section will list what is available by day. just scroll down to what you want and click. it will show those in your reservation that you want to book for. It will show you as uncomfirmed once you click it and once you are completed in that csategory go to the bottom of that particular page and click update i believe it is and that will confirm your reservation.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask once you have had the opportunity to explore before Sun PM/Mon AM.

Kristen: When I wrote the description I was popping back and forth between the boards and DCL site. Hope you were able to find your way on site top find what I was referring to.

UGH!!!!! I'm so mad. I stayed up until midnight. Logged in at 12:01
and NO PALO BRUNCH!!!!!!
***. How is this possible. I thought they saved some for those us newbies.

Well, after much headache and trial-and-errors, I was able to book my party of 7 into Palo. We had to break it down into smaller groups, but we'll all be there at the same time. Hopefully we'll get to sit near each other.

Sorry to see/hear that brunch and tea weren't available. Try the first day aboard; there's bound to be something.

The cruise reservations are going to give me an ulcer. I keep getting logged out for 20 minutes. They don't make it easy to book different excursions for different people in your party. I try to switch reservation numbers and it locks me out. I will be up all night at this rate. At least as far as I can tell so far, I got 1 dinner a Palo and 1 spa treatment and a GC excursion for part of the group. Happy Aug 17th. Only 75 days away.:scared1:
