ME too we are paid in full. It feels so good. Now can't wait to meet everyone!!! Michelle

FYI - AT THE MOMENT, we have 65 people signed up for lanyards. I'm waiting for a clarification on one order to add that one to the number.

That puts us under the minimum number of 100 for the orders. I'm going to call the company to find out if they can work with us on this, but most places won't. I'm not sure what to do about the other 30 - 35 lanyards that we will have leftover - and the $70 - $80 that will be involved in that, as well.

Just wanted to update everyone!! :)

Maybe we can sell them on the ship for the men's beer fund. :drinking1

Just kidding. I would hope that they would do it, maybe with an additional charge.

ROTFL!!!

No way ... they are going to have to spend their own money if they want beer. I have things I WANT, too. :) LOL!!!!!

Ok ..... Here's Lanyard Information - EVERYONE take note.

Lanyard cost will be $3.50 per lanyard. (includes set-up fee, shipping to me, printed name badges that I will make for them, and the imprint of our cruise logo/name). Looks like they aren't planning to charge us tax. If they do, I will just take care of that charge on my own.

THIS price is based on the NON-sale price. If we get the good price (making each lanyard $3 instead of $3.50), I will let you know and I will refund money when I ship the lanyards to you. At the moment, I'm not counting on the sale price because it comes and goes. It's suppose to 'go' tomorrow, and I don't know if it will be extended or if it will be in effect the week I order.

Because the others had a minimum quantity of 100, the person I talked to suggested this option. It's a little different from the one we planned, but it will work just fine.

There will be a $5 shipping charge *per mailing address* to get them from me to each of you.

These will be ordered the week of August 3rd, and I will accept no orders past August 1.

When I receive the lanyards, I will put the name badges inside (which will be printed while I'm waiting for the lanyards to be delivered) and ship them to each family via the USPS. I *plan* to purchase delivery confirmation (depending on cost) for each one in hopes that each set will be delivered promptly and without issue. (can you tell I don't trust the USPS??)

For all who have sent me a PM or FB message, I will send you my mailing address as soon as I can get my brain working.

Thank you for your patience while I got all of this figured out.

For those of you that were at the chat last night.... yes. I started and FINISHED the 20-page scrapbook for my son to give his girlfriend on Saturday. Wow. Busted my butt getting that done. But .. it IS done. :)

*Kelly* - I definitely need a logo (or the font that you used so that I can do it) without the Disney stuff on there. They cannot use Disney without written notice that we have permission for that, and that's just not going to happen, I'm quite sure. I will have to get that or put that in .eps format for it to be workable for the company.

Ok. I think that's it, but I have no idea. I will have to go back, reread this and edit it if needed. It's a lot of information and a long post. Sorry about that!!!!

ETA : I will send this same information out on FB. :)

Seems odd that we are that short. We have 40 cabins for FEs. if each cabin gets 2 to 3, we would easily hit the 100 mark. Not to mention the non FE people who would still want a lanyard. Have we sent out a mail, pm or something to everyone on the FE list?
As for the $$$ for the lanyards that we are not selling, I would expect to divide that cost up per lanyard we are using. Did you include that already in the $3.50 price you quoted, or is the $3.50 based on you being able to sell all 100.

If we do get stuck with a lot extra would DCL let us sell them on the cruise? I'm guessing no. But maybe in the hotels near the port? or at the port?
Or, could we open this up to any of the 3-4 day wonder cruise that also overlap with Halloween?

The price of $3.50 is based on a minimum of *50* ..... This is a little different item than the first one. We will have none left over and the price is firm unless they stay on sale. If that's the case, I will mail everyone $.50 per lanyard ordered when I ship the lanyards to you. My last post was the update on all of this.

CRUISE IS IN DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

99 days!!!!!!!!

Hi! I would like to join the group officially. My name is Janene. I am cruising with my soon to be husband, Anthony and my daughter, Chessa (age 9). This is our honeymoon cruise. We are cruising with bdette1971, fab5, and glo423. I would like to be included on the fish extenders and the meet and greets. Bdette has already ordered my lanyards. I hope to join a chat one night, but planning a wedding and a cruise is hard. Bdette fills me in on everything.

Welcome Janene!! So good to have you here.

Yes, I believe I have you on my list for lanyards.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

We're chatting tonight, and we'd love for you to join us if you can.

Don't forget everyone - Chat tonight at 8!!!

I'm going to try not to forget.....

Happy Monday everyone… 14 weeks!!!

Who is ready to sign in to DCL this weekend and make those reservations (castaway club members only)?? If you haven’t been to the DCL site in the past week or so, make sure you visit it this week and look around, they have done a complete remodel and things are not where they were. Don’t want you to be shocked when you sign in at midnight and can’t find anything :confused3

I just uploaded some pictures to the website that Jen sent from yesterdays meet-up in New Jersey as well as a link to the June 09 navigators from a Western Cruise. Thought you may enjoy using these to do some planning with, For the most part activities don’t change all that much, bur remember we do have Halloween to contend with so some activities may move around. Still they are fun to have and now I know I have a list of things I really want to do on the ship.

Have a good week, I have already been at work over an hour and only I've only done cruise stuff so I guess I should go earn the money that is paying for this.. Talk soon!!

Yesterday's NJ precruise meet was great. We all had a good time, and the kids bonded with each other almost instantly.
Big thanks to Joe for finding the place, Jen and Eric for driving all the way from MD, and Patty and Mike who found a babysitter and came without the kids.

For those in the general area who couldn't make this one (or who did and want more), we are planning another meet for Sept. I believe the date we picked was Saturday September 12th.
Planning needs to begin soon as this is only about 5 to 6 weeks out.

The third meet and greet has also already been planned. Oct 31st, on the Magic. Hope you can all make that one!

UGH!!! An excursion we were looking at for Cozumel has a different age requirement then it use to. It use to say ages 8 and up and now it is 10 and up.

Back to the drawing board!

***Update****
Disney website still says 8 and up. I think I will still try to book it and see what happens!

Just an FYI, I think they are still working the kinks out of the site. They are not showing my planned activities tonight at all.

During conversations at the NJ Meet on Sunday; one topic that came up between the repeat Disney cruisers and first timers was the difference in categories of cabins. One fellow cruiser mentioned that on our cruisemate listing that we have a wide range of categories of cabins ranging from Category one through category 12. Further discussions came up with the thought of possibly trying to arrange a cabin tour of the different categories on board by having our fellow cruisemates offering up their category of cabin for our group to have the opportunity to tour that level of cabin if they were interested.

During the adult chat on Sunday night we brought up this idea to those chatters that were not at the NJ Meet & Greet and it was suggested to throw it up on the discussion board to see if it might be something to try to arrange if there is an interest in this idea.

Please feel free to offer up comments, or suggestions on this idea. Also post your category if you would be intersted in being a tour stop if this is something that proves to be positive.

I will keep a list of responses and post the results next week.

Take care!

Steve

It is so hot here. It reached about 95 degrees this afternoon. It is about 80 outside now at 11:00pm. It is potentially going to be 99 on Wednesday. I am dying!!!! Weather people, please change the forecast!!!
