we JUST booked this cruise TODAY....

I am more excited than the kids!

Both my sons birthdays are coming up soon so we are celebrating early!

Sorry I cant go through all the pages of info....you guys have A LOT of pages!
But maybe I can learn a little about you in the next few days.
That is if I am not going crazy trying to pack!

I do have a question, does anyone have info on when the Halloween activities will be?
When I asked, I was told the 2nd evening, not Oct 31.

Shell has concierge service and they told her Halloween would be on Halloween but that was a few weeks ago, maybe the finally realized Halloween is on embarkation day and its already going to be crazy and they changed it but more than likely you were just told wrong information, imagine that LOL but you know what,who cares we are on a ship and its a 7 day party

We have a kids chat tonite if your kids want to join in and meet a few before we sail on Saturday. The chatroom for the kids is www.renysplace.com/chat and its monitored by adults. Your 8 and 11 year old will fit right in with the kids. Your 16 year old may be a bit old for those in the room. Chat is at 8:00 tonite. it's the last one before the trip

Also, where are you staying on Friday night? We have a meet up there at 7:30, many of the kids will be there as well.

My son will be 16 in Dec., he'll be glad to know there's someone his age onboard! He's into sports and was hoping they had Madden PS2 onboard.

I REALLY hope the Halloween stuff will be the day after also. We need to get up at 3:30 am to be at the airport and fly by 6. It's going to be a long enough day without adding in the Halloween stuff! I called DCL and asked and didn't get an answer except "yes, we'll be doing activities for Halloween on the cruise". Vague?!

They will be there.

My oldest was also worried about kids his age.
We always sail off peak and there are always fewer kids.
But this is Disney and Disney ships ALWAYS have kids!
We last sailed The Magic in 2007 and I will be so glad to see her again.

Someone asked about the night before. We are actaully driving down Saturday. We live in Savannah so its not a bad drive from here.

I booked under a travel agent deal so we dont get our choice of cabins.
LOL, you get such a great deal, its worth it!
I booked today at about 2pm.
At that time I was told I would get assigned at check-in.
But as soon as I signed into my docs I had a Cat 10 cabin.
Forward on deck 7.
WAY forward, LOL, cant get any more forward....
so of course they can change us. But if not, I'm ok, I'm on the Magic!

Actually the kids chat starts at 7:30 PM Eastern time tonight
Just go to the link provided by renysmom in an earlier post and register before the chat. We are traveling with a 15 year old daughter and a 11 year old daughter. Some of the regulars on the chat are a 13 year old boy, Jonah, and 12 year old Alexa, and also my two daughters Stephanie 15, and Kristen 11 and a 11 year old boy Johnathan.

We sailed on the Magic in April 2007 and we sailed in Cabin 8000 which also was as forward as you could get. We loved that room and would have booked it again if it had been available. Very quiet as their was no public travel in that part of the ship.

We will also have our last adult chat on Wednesday night so please join us at 8:30 PM.

Welcome! That is so cool you just booked today. You do not have to go through the months (or years for some) of anticipation.

I will be on the kids chat tonight with Shell monitoring (making sure these wild kids stay in control). Just kidding! We have a great bunch of kids on this cruise. They are really looking forward to meeting each other.
