The way they have done it before is Dorothy would ask me for a list of names and room numbers of the people who should be sent a ticket. They would then be charged to their room. So, I will need a confirmation from everyone before I send their name and room number. Once confirmed, they have been very reluctant to ever remove the charge. I have gone to Brent or Jerome in GS when I felt DCL had made the mistake and they have reversed the charges. But when someone just decided they didn't want to attend at the last minute I left that up to them and DCL. The last cruise GS kept called my room whenever anyone from the DISboards had a problem about anything. The first few days I tried to be of help but I finally had to tell them I wasn't the DISboard chaperone. val

My housekeeper said it was perfect!
Perfect, I am definitely in. Once I have a room # I will update the list!

Hi everyone! Our names are Ruth and Jonathan and we have 2 awesome boys, Cameron (3) and Channing (9 months). We are from Chandler, AZ and we love Disney and Diamondbacks baseball! We just booked this cruise 3 weeks ago and it's our very FIRST Disney cruise! We've been on 3 cruises before but I think I am most excited for this one! I know we're a little late joining this thread but better late than never, right?

I would love to join in FE's and shirts so count us in! Not quite sure how FE's work but I'll figure it out.

Val, are you still planning on the zoo trip in Puerto Vallarta? I know my boys would love to go on that.

I heard back from the DCL rep today!!! She said she will reserve us a spot from 3-3:45 on the 30th!!! She isn't sure where yet but she will let us know closer to the date!!!

GTY stands for guaranteed. We are all guaranteed a cabin in at least the category we booked but DCL can assign us any cabin in that category or better.

Yikes, time sure flies, I was at Costco the other day and they already have Christmas stuff out. I'm starting to weigh my options for my FE gifts and was wondering if it is a problem to use the same design that's on the t-shirt? I saw that Jordak designed it and I don't want to cause any problems. I really haven't decided, so no big deal if it's an issue. I'm just starting to rack my noncrafty brain. Thanks!

Feel free to use the design. Jordak makes them so we can use them. In fact, Bob and I added the date and pumped up the ghosts so you can see them. We are very fortunate to have people like Marty Jordak and others who share what they have created or take Disney images and make them into magnet and cruise logos for us.

You can pass out your FE gifts whenever you want. You don't have to do them all the same day either. I have done one deck each day. Other times, when I was giving something specific to a day, i.e pirates, CC etc. I did all on a specific date, but it is up to you.

I still have not heard back from the PV zoo. I had thought it might be a problem with my sending the message in English but now I don't have any reason for not hearing from them. If I don't hear back soon, I am going to forget the idea. Sorry about that but if they can't respond I don't have much faith in giving them my day. Val

It's getting closer.. 50 days from today! Vince & I have our costumes (Sears had a great sale). All of your Toy Story fans won't be able to miss Vince. He's going to be awesome! Hopefully trying to gather my FE supplies this weekend.. Maybe? lol..

So is Jack!! He calls everyone "Sally" or "Mater". I ordered my FE from gradysmommy on ebay, but I haven't recieved them yet. They should be coming any day now... I also ordered a pillowcase for Jack and a tote for me to have signed!

She didn't say where, she said there were a lot of events so it might have to be the Promenade Lounge? She didn't mention a charge, so I'm thinking there isn't one...

I have never heard of DCL opening anyones bags and checking. I have watched them being stacked and loaded onto the ship. I don't think they handle bags any different then the airlines - without any care. So, if you don't pack them for possible rough handling and breakage you could be in trouble.

I'm fairly certain what I'm about to say is the same for loading luggage onto the ship, but I've never witnessed it:

Once houskeeping crew members have your bags on the last night, they're loaded into these big steel crate thingys on wheels. Once the crates are full of suitcases, they're taken down to deck one (the main passage for the crew to get around on our decks) and strapped to the walls & there they wait to be unloaded to the dock for guests to pick up when they debark.

So, I would for sure not put anything potentially breakable into your luggage & carry on & off by hand..

On a side note, the crates with luggage in them really help break your fall on your way back to your crew cabin from the crew bar on the last night of a cruise when the stabilizers are pulled in & we're haulin back up to Canaveral..
