Nametags are a great idea... Cheri, your name will be on your sailaway shirt, however. Kids' names are on theirs, too. We didn't think it was a problem, for something they'll only be wearing a short time. :confused3

It's great that so many families are linking up. It makes the cruise so much more fun :cool1:

Question: would we like tenor to make us all nametags? We'll know all of the screen names, and we'll kind of know "there's a DIS'er" but matching the two can be tricky. We did this in July. I wore mine all week with my KTTW card on a lanyard - so I didn't mind when someone looked at my chest before looking at my face and saying "Hi, Cheri" rather than "Hi, uhhhhh"(what was her name?????.

(just kidding, tenor. trishy will do it :rotfl2: )

I'm a DIS'er, she's a DIS'er, he's a DIS'er, wouldn't you like to be a DIS'er too?

I think that the name tags are a great idea! Where do we get the lanyards...do they have them onboard??? :confused3

There are special Mickey lanyards on board. I have several from Old Navy. You can get a bag of black ones from Office Depot. You need a plastic holder for the name tag and KTTW card. I have about 20 I think. I'll see if Office depot still has the big bags of them (they're cheap).

Beano - you really don't want me wearing my shirt all week do you? As much as I spill? Eeewwwww.

There's still time to send me a picture or two .... there's some pretty good lookin' peeps in the album :earseek:

I have the green DIS lanyard (yes, I am a geek) and pocket to carry my KTTW card, disney dining card and season pass...I love it. For a long time, I couldn't find the pockets. I have ordered Cast memeber lanyards off Ebay and they came with them..now they are everywhere..even Home Depot

Can I write a check on the boat for my charges? I have enough money I think but if I get carried away can I write a check since my money deposits in my account friday? Anyone know how that works?

Gina

I'm pretty sure DCL wants to know they are gonna get their moola and a check can be risky. I'd be interested in knowing if this is allowed. Wonder if you can use a debit card...

All I know for sure is that DCL charged my cc every time we got to $300 in on-board charges (which was once, maybe twice :rotfl2: ).

Not sure about that one either... we have always used traveler's checks to pay down the account. Um, Cheri?? Who you kiddin'? :rotfl2:

The wine and champagne you bought was probably more than that!

We set a record last year for on-board charges. Let's hope we don't break it again this year! :guilty:

Hello y'all....

I was peeking in here - but actually sailing on the 2006 Holloween magic sailing - and I thought I'd chime in that name tags are a really good idea - we just got off the Sept 3rd sailing of the Magic and at our DIS meet we had name tags with DIS screen names, first names and cities of origin. It was a real convenience at the meet and around the ship!

SO - your sailng looks to be rockin' with so many DIS folks, postings and hits. :disrocks: So - with that happy sailing to all on this trip. I'll fade back to the sidelines now to resume my shadowy lurking. :goodvibes

:rolleyes1

:sunny: Happy Monday morning to all...

So, where is everyone this morning?? :confused3 We are now one more day closer to our cruise! :boat:

My countdown timer now reads: 15 days 9 hours 15 minutes 3 seconds

Thanks for sharing your photos....cute! Happy sailing for your thread!

Hi,

I have a question.

We wanted to go to the early seating but could not get in. We have two year old twins and will not be eating supper at any of the 8:30 seating as our children will be asleep. We are going to order room service at 5:00pm for our suppers or eat at the buffet.

What do you think most people would do for tipping the Dining Room Server, Dining Room Assistant Server and Head Server for a situation like this?

Thanks, J.

Me no feel like worky...me feel like cruisy...can we go yet!

I put my birth certificate and Kate's in the luggage and ironed some clothes..took my formal to work this morning to drop at the cleaners...got earplugs and a new razor this weekend....CAN WE GO YET??

Yes you can. What happens is you get a "cash" account set up (unless you want to set up a credit card account.) Disney gives you a lower limit before "charging" you and they will let you know when to come make a payment on the account. They phone in all check approvals to your bank to make sure the funds are there to clear. We did this on one of our previous cruises. Just remember to make that payment or the charging priviledges on your KTTW card are turned off until it's made.

Why not try and change it once you are on board. Better yet, why not put the children in Flounders for dinner and you and your DH enjoy the evening together.
